I'm watching the eclipse.

Perfect night for it, not a cloud in the sky.

as usual, cloudy and raining last night and snowing today so missed the eclipse this time around

The moon always come out as little more than a blob of light on my camera.
You need a good optical zoom and a long enough exposure time, I'd guess like 0.25 - 0.5 sec for an eclipsed full moon (thus you'd also need a tripod if you want to be real pro because with a telephoto lens 0.25 sec is long enough to be shaky).
