I believe our Heavenly Father has showed us, through the Holy Bible, that we are the last generation of mankind, however, there are good reasons, Divine reasons, why He did not tell us exactly when this flesh age should end.
And He said unto them, "It is not for you to know the time or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own power." Acts 1.7
What if our Father had included in the Holy Bible an identifying scripture, such as: "For your information, Jesus Christ will return to earth on January 1, 2100, and the world will end." Sounds silly, right? Well, that is silly, but what if we were children living in the year 2099? It would not seem so silly then, and in fact, much of the world would be having a panic attack! Conversely, what if we were children who had lived in 1800? We would have no reason to watch, or to prepare ourselves for the end, knowing by scripture the world was not to end for another 300 years. Divine resoning dictates that in naming dates, FAITH is taken out of the equation, and FAITH is what this flesh age is all about. Nevertheless, as mentioned, our Father does have an exact appointed time for this flesh age to end, but Divine reasoning says it must come as a surprise to humanity.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, 'Peace and safety;' then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: We are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5.1
Now let us say for arguments sake that everyone on this forum are children of light, for obviously, we love the LORD, His Son, and Their Holy Word. That leaves what, about 5 billion people who will be surprised? Let us pray to have their eyes opened, and plant seeds whenever we can, for I do believe the final tribulations are not far off.
