I know for sure the Christian would not kill the Muslim. Muslims are violent, they opposed those who deny that Mohammed is a prophet. Jesus had disciplies who left and he never tried to hurt them. You and I know that Muslim terrorise those who convert to Christianity. A TRUE MUSLIM STILL WILL NOT ACCEPT JESUS AS THEIR MESSIAH. Just because some Muslims may not be violent..says nothing. If you do not accept Jesus...regardless how sincere you are in your false religion nothing is going for you.

Maybe not "Christians", but the US kills Muslims every day. We've killed at least a 100 times as many of them as they've killed of us.

Why don't you stick to the point at that is being discussed. JW do not kill people who opposed them. JWs and catholics are teaching false doctrine too. Unlike the JW the Catholics killed those who don't oppose them...thankfully they are not doing it now.

Having said that, personally I find nothing in Islam very attractive. I'd be surprised to find jihad hungry war mongers on a forum. They'd just yell blasphemy at everyone or bomb a random building. Otherwise, I think most violent muslims would just destroy their computers in anger. That leaves plenty of room for nonviolent muslims to things a much more sane way. I haven't seen any violent muslims here in the US. I think, they know that if they don't obey our law here, they'd be screwed.

My view on the matter is to simply edit the violent commands out of every holy book and leave the rest for culture, identity, and peaceful living. After all, if God has truly retired from his crimes in the old testament, then he wouldn't mind if we edit all that out.

Christian extremists I've met were merely annoying. They can be dealt with peacefully, even if they don't like the outcome. Islamic extremists, however, are far too dangerous. They are not only willing to kill, but are willing to die for their evil ways. I say let's oblige them. We don't need to harm any innocent muslims, but we should offer them protection, because extremists WILL kill their own people.

I watched the video of Libyans pulling the Ambassador from the burned Embassy, excited that he was still alive. Then, they took him to the hospital, even though he soon died of smoke inhalation. But, in right-wing circles, they insist that the Ambassador was tortured and raped. Then they condemn those who don't buy the ridiculous claim that the Ambassador was raped.

Hi Hammer, its often said that it is the "sin" that should be hated, not the sinner. Maybe the "distortion" occurs when we think that is what we in fact do, or claim we do, because such seems the right thing to say. When in fact we are more driven by fear, by a total lack of self-judgement and a whole host of other distortions.

Such selective indignation about Islam being "evil" ,..
can only come from people who don't regularly meet and live with your average Muslims.
Islam is not a violent religion, not in any sense.
If one was to simply historically compare the violence "in the name of " Islam ,
to the violence "in the name of" Christianity.. Christ would beat Muhammad hands down, and Christianity should be rightfully called "the most evil , violent religion on Earth" .

But this whole idea of labelling an entire religion "violent" is just a silly generalisation.. every religion has followers that are zealots and extremists
which will resort to violence "in the name of " whatever they were culturally handed down to beleive in.

It's so disappointing to see people hop on a "Islam is Evil " bandwagon
