[_ Old Earth _] The fallacy of evolution

Who was ‘Java man’?

http://www.answersingenesis.org/creatio ... avaman.asp

Late last century a Dutch physician, Eugene Dubois, set sail to the Dutch East Indies (now called Indonesia). Completely enamoured by the theory of evolution, he had come to believe for some reason that he would find the elusive ‘missing link’ between humans and apes in that part of the world.

Believe what you want. They were all shown up as hoaxes, talk origin or not.

Ok, only believe people who tell you what you want to hear.

But that doesn't change the facts, which include that the vast majority of hominid fossils are genuine and are good evidence for humans evolving from an ancient ape.

It seems strange to me how emotionally attached creationists are to a literal interpretation of the Bible, while if evidence showed up tomorrow that hurt or fatally damaged the theory of evolution I would not care much if at all (although to do since it is one of the best evidenced theories in science, it is highly unlikely).
In fact I might like it since it would hopefully result in a better scientific theory and better understanding of the universe.
You have closed your eyes to the truth, and therefore will wander in the illusion that evolution offers. Do not be dismayed for you are not alone. Keep denying the God of creation and you will know the truth one day. Unfortunately, you will not evolve into the new incorruptible, immortal body enabling you to commune daily with the creator.

Evolution has stymied a better understanding of the universe by keeping us in the box of the material. There is absolutely no evidence of macro-evolution, only conjecture and hope that it is true by the philosophy of humanists.

Just because his theory was wrong or he didn't find what he expected doesn't mean that evolution is wrong. Einstein failed a thousand times before he got something right. It's OK to make mistakes, thats how we learn. It's OK not to have the answer to everything. There are some things we may never have an answer to and that too is OK.

Facts and evidence are not an illusion. Believing in unsubstantiated claims is. We have gone over this over and over and the reason it is accepted worldwide is that the evidence is overwhelming in support of evolution. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts. If you would like to offer some there are a bunch of us here that would like to study them.

That is exactly how I see the bible. I cannot explain everything and don't always have an answer but I am not worried about it.

I know I will have a lot of answers in the future.

1 John 3:1-2 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Facts are true not false. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6)

If you do not accept the truth you will be susceptable of being deluded by every counterfeit philosophy and lie no matter the name.

When you know Jesus you will know the truth and then you will understand His words recorded in John 8:32, "...ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

God Luck!

Missing Links?

There is no one missing link there are a series branches linking us and the evidence shows homo erectus may have been among them.

No I have opened my mind to accept reality. And the reality is evolution is true based on facts.

As I said before if there is God and he at one point gave to someone in the past the truth regarding creation or anything else in the bible it was lost along time ago. Maybe the literal details of evolution was in the Bible, but was removed at the Council of Nicea because the men there didn't like it. Or maybe people left out the details as they orally passed on the biblical stories.

Not communing with the biblical God would be fortunate for me because I would prefer not to commune with a cruel, petty, deceiving creator.

Science has gotten people out of the box of fantasy and developed a good understanding of the universe's reality. Theory of Evolution has more evidence to support it than probably any theory, including the Theory of Gravity. The bible to my knowledge does not mention gravity, just like evolution. Do you accept gravity? If so, why it and not evolution?

Sorry, but I was just posting on an evolution forum where they admit they have no facts, only speculation. They don't know who this missing link is, (common ancestor), what he looked like or if he even existed in the first place. They have no idea how he "acquired" the traits of a human being and they cannot explain how a human can be a descendant of an ape since we cannot breed with apes. So they admit they make up scenarios in their imaginations which keep changing in every generation. Facts? Only in your dreams. :)

And God created gravity, not scientists. So again, when scientists agree with God's laws they will always be right. And when they disgaree with God's laws they will always be wrong. End of story.

Hi Hiedi,

God created heaven and earth too, He just used evolution to do it. What's the problem?

And where in the bible does it say that God used evolution to create the heaven and earth? :o Evolutionists do not hold that God created man out of dust. That's why they are not called creationists. You're buying into worldly beliefs and again making up your own gospel, my friend. Jesus said; "He who is not with me is against me." You can't be both. And Paul tells us the fate of those who make up their own gospels in 2 Corinthians 11:4-15. You can disbelieve him at your own peril.

Those who say God used evolution to "create the heavens and the earth" don't understand evolution and obviously haven't a clue as to what the bible says.

You realize the the King James version of the Bible is translated half a dozen times, edited, redited with omissions and then given to you? All reading of the Bible is an interpretation. In fact all reading period is an interpretation. All the KJ version says is
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

Does it say "In the beginning God blinked and instanlty created the heaven and earth all at once"? No you are assuming that's what it means. someone who interpets it as "God was the guiding force behind the creation of everything" is making a similar leap in intepretation.

Hi Heidi,

It is actually you two here who are denying what the bible says , not me.

Evolution is out there, it exists. That isn't an arguable point at this stage of progress, so if Jesus didn't create it who did?

Do you deny that Jesus created everything?

Hi berean,

Them thars fightin'words man.......I get to choose the weapons don't I?

I'll meet you at the end times forum where the topic will be "when is the Great tribulation." She'll be the knock down drag out, no mercy took or given variety. Last poster typing reigns supreme, bible and verified history are suitable references, denominational doctrine isn't suitable reference.

However, I got to go to a hockey game right now, so I'll let you start the debate. Then we can figure out who knows the bible and who don't.

You've already shown that you do not know the Bible by believing evolution over the beginnings of creation, so I doubt that you know much more about the endings in the last times. You may even be a plant.

So people voicing different opinions are "plants" now Solo? What's the purpose of a forum if not to facilitate intelligent discussion? If everyone thought exactly the same the world would eb a dull place indeed.

I love your posts, Biblerean. But it's going to get a lot worse as people have less and less of a clue what's true and what's false. They will change the bible to fit any opinions they have. People have been doing it for centuries and this will all escalate so we need to stand firm. :)
