Sorry, but I was just posting on an evolution forum where they admit they have no facts, only speculation. They don't know who this missing link is, (common ancestor), what he looked like or if he even existed in the first place. They have no idea how he "acquired" the traits of a human being and they cannot explain how a human can be a descendant of an ape since we cannot breed with apes. So they admit they make up scenarios in their imaginations which keep changing in every generation. Facts? Only in your dreams.

That evolution is a fact does not rest on what people say it rests on what the evidence shows. And the facts show evolution is a fact and the Theory of Evolution has many facts based on evidence to support it.

Where in the bible does it say God created gravity? It may depend on whethere you are disagreeing with God's laws or the laws put in by the Council of Nicea or any of the others who altered God's laws. Beside only an incompetent or lying God would create a world that gives evidence that is contradictory to a literal translation and say anyone who disagrees with a literal translation is violating God's laws. And I wouldn't mind violating the laws of an incompetent or lying God.

What are the odds that the ape offspring of every generation accidentally mutated enough in every generation to produce the huan being of today? When there are too many "accidents", they are no longer accidents but design. Yet evolutionists don't believe in design, nor have these mutatiojns brought any ape or human being of today closer to being another species!

Once again you have demonstrated that you don't know what evolution is or what the Theory of Evolution is, so how can you argue against something when you don't know what it is? The Theory of Evolution does not say or expect that the offspring of another ape will turn into a human. More complex organisms take long periods of time to evolve so we shouldn't expect to see any apes or humans to become new species.

Why do you think everything needs to be instantaneous?

Evolution is supported by the reality of DNA similarity, ring species and ERVs; among other evidence. So it doesn't need nor is it logical to expect there to be a witness (one of the weakest forms of evidence) to evolution.

What do you consider kind? Some creationists disagree on whether kind means species, genus, class or other classifications. Some might count all cats as one kind; some might count all mammals except humans as one kind. Why do creationists disagree on what kind means?

I'm not a Christian this much is true. I do however have a decent level of understanding of Christian beliefs and last time I checked it is not your job to judge me or anyone else.

Becasue you know how many scientific concepts are at work right now allowing us to post on this message board? At thier core all sciences are built on theory. Are they all false too? An open mind is as important for those seeking the truth as it is for those who believe they have found the truth. When I see your posts I'm reminded of the Pharisees who Jesus denounced because their focus was on the letter of the law rather than the spirit of it. They were so set in their ways that they were blinded from the truth.

I was blinded to the truth just as you are, until I was 28 years old and understood that I was on a path of destruction and that I did not know God almighty. As soon as I repented from my sinful lifestyle, and turned toward God's Word I began to mature spiritually as God cleaned me up from the inside out. Being a Christian is not being a specific type of person who attends certain types of meetings, a Christian is one who has repented of their wrong lifestyle and called out to God almighty for salvation. When the individual repents, believes the Word of God, and confesses this belief, the Holy Spirit of God seals the new believer until the day of redemption and comes to live within that believer.

Until this happens, a person is on their own, and no amount of knowledge will make a dent in the mind of a person. Only God himself can bring an unbeliever around. If you are on this forum as a Raider, then please leave an go play games elsewhere. If you are here to be a legitimate seeker, then PM Judy and tell her the truth.

I was never blinded to the truth like you are, even during my 20-odd year stint as a Christian.

Of course, I'm being facetious with that comment. What I'm trying to demonstrate here, Solo, is that accusing someone that they are "blinded to the truth" is completely unproductive. Particularly when both sides are doing it. It's akin to saying "I'm right, you're wrong" without following it up with any reasoning.

Given that this is a debate (about evolution, incidentally), one would expect the participants to provide reasoning for the position they are defending. That is, reasoning beyond your usual "Pray to God and he will enlighten you as He has done me." There are many Christians whose beliefs about evolution are in opposition to yours. That doesn't make them automatically wrong, or less spiritually mature than yourself. To claim that this is so is the height of arrogance. They could as easily claim that you don't share their enlightened view of evolution because you aren't spiritually mature.

A debate, which is what this is, requires all participants to have the humility to admit they might be wrong, or else it is an exercise in futility, and you might as well not be posting at all.
