I have 2 questions about that post Sinthesis:
  • Are you saying that Christians should observe the Sabbath?
  • On what day of the week does the Feast of Pentecost fall?

My point was that God took something that already existed, His Sabbaths, and in sharing them with Israel gave them a new significance.
  • Not literally, though a literal observance doesn't hurt.
  • No idea, but fifty days from Passover could fall on any day of the week depending on the year, right?

I like your first point but as to the 2nd no....the counting of the Omer (feast of firstfruits) is always a weekly 1st day and Pentacost (shavuot) ALWAYS falls on the 1st day following seven 7th day Sabbaths

Probably should get back on the topic of the thread.

Were they keeping His Sabbaths? Sabbaths isn't the focus. Keeping them was. So the sign is something the people will do as commanded by the Lord.

Just to clarify, Pentecost is ALWAYS on a Sunday. I state that because I detected an element that seemed to have Sinthesis say that the Sabbath was established before the Law came from Moses.

That is merely an explanation, and not continuing of controversy. OK?

What is that, exactly?
