[__ Science __ ] The Flood, what happened?

The problem is that the Bible doesn't in any way rule out evolution, which we observe happening daily.

That He chose to create living things by natural means (other than our living souls which each of us gets directly from Him), is His decision to make.

The problem is you don't believe the Bible. (Ps. 33:6,9)

The problem is you don't believe the Bible. (Ps. 33:6,9)
Here's a good example where you don't believe the Bible. These verses:
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars[a];
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.

Are obviously figurative. Since Jesus tells us that God is a spirit.
John 4:24 God is a spirit; and they that adore him, must adore him in spirit and in truth.

And He tells us:
Luke 24:39 See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have.

So if Jesus tells the truth, then those verses must be figurative, not literal.

The problem is, you don't believe the Bible. You've chosen to believe man's revision of God's word.

As I said, I am not confused concerning you.
You claimed I said science trumps God's word. That is false. And when challenged, you couldn't show were I did.

You are confused about that and other things. I suspect you aren't a careful reader and get worked up without actually reading what is written.
Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?
I reminded you that the Bible is the word of God in 126, 141,142, and 155 among others. As I said, you don't seem to read very carefully.

If someone wrote that, then that's wrong. The Bible is about God and man and our relationship. For that it's the final authority, but not the only authority according to the Bible. Which is what most Christians will say.

Science is only about nature, not God. And the Bible does not present itself as a science text. You might as well argue that the Bible is the final authority on plumbing. It's an absurd misuse of scripture to say so.
And who was it that created nature and still has power and authority over it?

I see by what you post that you are possibly a theistic evolutionist and that is why you believe the flood was localized. I really see no point in discussing this any further as you will deny anything we show you in scripture anyway so I think I will bow out of the discussion as it's fruitless.

Let's watch the attitudes with each other as we speak in love and let everyone have their points of views and opinions even if we do not agree with each other. Thank you.

I don't see in post #(142) where he said the Bible is the Word of God.

Well, I don't expect any to admit to anything. I just want to show the emptiness of their position.

You need to re-read it as he said: "I told you that the Bible is the word of God."

(Ps. 33:6,9) is not figurative.

Neither (Luke 24:39) or (John 4:24) proves (Ps. 33:6,9) are figurative.

The problem for you is the Scripture declares that God spoke the Universe into existence. Myself, I have no problem.

I said I never denied it. Get over it. I admitted it.

No. In none of those posts you present do you say the Bible is the Word of God. So, again, Is the Bible the Word of God. All it takes is a yes or no.

Your constant refusal to answer is an answer. You don't believe the Bible is the Word of God.

Quantrill

As I showed you, I've reminded you repeatedly that the Bible is the word of God, but you continue to resist. I don't see why; if you're a Christian, that should be obvious.

No. You have not. You dance around the question. You can fool others. You don't fool me. Answer with a simple yes or no. Is the Bible the Word of God?

Quantrill

And who was it that created nature and still has power and authority over it?
Exactly. That's what Christians point out; God using nature to do His purposes is no different than anything else. Evolution is not something that happens apart from God; it's exactly why he created nature as He did.

I've pointed out repeatedly that the Bible is the word of God,
No. You have not.
I cited numerous posts wherein I have reminded you.

You dance around the question. You can fool others. You don't fool me.
I'm just showing you the times I told you that the Bible is the word of God.
Are you uncomfortable with a Bible-believing Christian who accepts the fact that evolution is one way that He creates things in this world?

Let's watch the attitudes with each other as we speak in love and let everyone have their points of views and opinions even if we do not agree with each other. Thank you.
Guilty. I'll try to do better.

Please let it go as he already said the Bible is the word of God, even though he seems to disagree with creation trying to add evolution to it. This who topic is fruitless when one states they are a Christian, but also believes the theories of Darwin. I'm opting out, but am keeping an eye opened and will only reply if need be.

It is an important point. Barbarian has never said the Bible is the Word of God. In all the posts he cited, and the one you cited, he never said it. He presents himself as one who does, but he doesn't.

You are correct. Claiming to be Christian but then believing in Evolution is fruitless. And oxymoronic.

It's easy to hold to evolution when you don't see the Bible as the Word of God. It's easy to hold to evolution when your faith is in science and not God and the Bible.

A simple yes or no. Is the Bible the Word of God?
I left you several instances where I reminded you that the Bible is the word of God. I'm not the only person who has pointed this out to you. Clearly, no matter how many times I show you that the Bible is the word of God, you won't accept it. For whatever reason.

are you saying there is a difference between Word and word - Father and father - God and god?

so repeatedly saying "the Bible is the word of God" and refusing to say "the Bible is the Word of God" are two vastly different things?

if someone said repeatedly "i believe in god" but refused to say "i believe in God" i would think there is some funny business going on

I am not asking you to 'show me'. I am asking if you believe the Bible is the Word of God. Yes or no.
