Brief video by a Jewish academic. I found it useful to get his fresh perspective.
He doesn't talk like a smart alec academic, which is what I like. Very personable..
Gospel of John is in fact very complex as is the Christian message. Just try explaining the Trinity for instance.

Skip the first 40 minutes. He just talks about the Greeks. Apparently John writes this in Greek. 200 years after the life of Christ

That comment alone is enough to make what he says highly questionable.p
For an alternative view try:-

Not an academic, but the brutal practical approach of a detective seeking the truth.

Hey that must be a mistake. The 200 year part.
Its only 100 years after Jesus' death. I might have misheard him.

As long as it's not written by Kenneth Copeland.

No an xcoldcase detective. Look him up he is very readable and promotes that the gospels are what they claim to be. Eyewitness accounts written within the lifetimes of those eyewitnesses.
