The Great Judgment of God

What men call the Great Judgment of God is not a trial. It is really the final EXECUTION of a judgment verdict which carries out the “sentenceâ€Â. In the absolute END OF TIME and end of this world, this happens:

Revelation 20:12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Isaiah 24:1. Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 19. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

You will notice that the Great Judgment IS NOT FOR DESTROYING MEN in any fashion! It is for destroying death, the grave, and hell and erasing devils along with the planet earth. Clearly all dead humans have been REDEEMED no matter where they died on land or in the sea. They STAND BEFORE GOD in Heaven as recipients of GRACE,
which no “sinners†can do!

Psalm 1:5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Romans 5:17. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

We were taught in the churches and world religions that final judgment will not only dispose of devils but humans who died in sins will be judged and damned with devils. The two texts above show that to be THE HOPE OF DEVILS, wishful thinking on their part. As a matter of FACT neither God nor Jesus will judge a human being for the DEVILS’ EXECUTION.

The only two judges that matter in the END are the Father and the Son who preside over the execution.

Romans 3:3. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4. God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. 5. But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) 6. God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Ecclesiastes 3:17. I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Malachi 3:5. And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts. 6. For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 17. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them (prodigals), as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

John 5:21. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

John 8:15. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17. It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

Both judges managing the execution of devils in the absolute end WILL NOT JUDGE HUMANS! And these Two Witnesses are “true witnessesâ€Â!

Revelation 3:14. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Matthew 17: 4. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

In the Revelation Jesus is called the “faithful and true witness†even though he is one of the Judges. And Father vouches for his authority demanding that the disciples “hear ye him†over Moses and Elijah! So the Words Jesus spoke in the above texts from John are “TRUTHâ€Â. Judge Jesus also tells us that devils only are being judged by the Heavenly Court, and this witness is also “TRUEâ€Â.

John 16:8. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9. Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10. Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 17:12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Our Father, the Supreme Judge, testifies the following before the Heavenly Court:

Isaiah 14:12. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 21. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. 22. For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.

Isaiah 47:8. Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: 14. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

Revelation 18:8. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

From this we see that FINAL JUDGMENT is the EXECUTION phase of the SENTENCE previously handed down upon the heads of the Kingdom of Darkness, devils only.

Revelation 19:20. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

And Father says this about His REDEEMED children who STAND before the Throne and were drawn there by His great love:

Psalm 65:2. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. 3. Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. 4. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Isaiah 66:18. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. 22. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

Revelation 5:13. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Devils have taught men the opposite of what our Two Witness – Judges have testified before the Court. Devils have given human run churches on earth THEIR HOPE, that Father will damn most of His children with them in the fire and destroy them forever. Human church doctrines teach that FALSE WITNESS as their judgment doctrine. But the Just and Faithful Witness, Jesus Christ, has testified the TRUTH! Neither he nor the our Supreme Judge- Father will judge mankind for condemnation nor destruction. Instead “Father draws all men to see His glory and to STAND before His Throne†and no sinner can do that. Further more the children (former flesh and blood men) will “worship before in Heaven from one new moon unto anotherâ€Â. Devils and their human cronies are OFFENDED by our Two Witnesses, but so what? Only the prince of this world, that son of perdition is judged. And Babylon and her family of devils will be cast into the lake of fire and erased forever.

It is a BAD THING to argue against the Two Witnesses and even worse to try to prove both Judges are liars.

Romans 3:3. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4. God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Psalm 31:18. Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. 19. Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Do not put your trust in the doctrines of men!

2 Corinthians 11:13. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

And do not trust your own thoughts rather than the direct Words of our Two Judges!

Isaiah 55:7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

YOU err in not understanding the word of God. Please note: "death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them"

What is God trying to tell us here? Who is in hell (place of departed spirits) at this time? Before Jesus rose from the dead, hell included both righteous and unrighteous spirits, as shown to us in the story of the rich man and Lazarus. However, at Jesus' resurrection, He took the righteous (paradise) to heaven with Him. Therefore, all that was left in hell was the unrighteous. Since that time, spirits have either gone to hell or gone to heaven, depending on whether or not they knew Jesus and He knew them (they had become born of the Spirit).

Therefore, at the time of this judgement, after the 1000 year reign of Christ, all that stand before God are unrighteous men, called "the dead." Demons are not called "the dead." This is speaking of men. All unrighteous men throughout the ages are resurrected to stand before God. They are judged according to their works, and all are cast into the lake of fire. End if story.

Oops, wrong again. The word hell in the KJV is actually haides in the Greek. The place of the dead, Shoal, the grave, were the dead sleep until the end days resurrections, (both the First and the second resurrections. Both the rightgeous and the unrightgeous sleep. Too many scriptures that talk about those that sleep to ignore. Hell is the final place for the wicked, the anti-christ, false prophet. The lake of fire. The KJV is translated very well for the most part, but there are errors. That is why any serious study of the word should be done with an Interlinear Bible handy.

(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

However, you are generally correct about the Judgment though.
:)

Since that time, spirits have either gone to hell or gone to heaven, depending on whether or not they knew Jesus and He knew them (they had become born of the Spirit).
That contradicts scripture:

Eccl 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The spirit is Ruach in Hebrew and Pneuma in Greek mean breath, as in breath of life or breath of God. The "life force" that God breathes into man as he is created or conceived is what returns to Him. Don't confuse this with man's soul or actual essence or being. This is not a debate for here; it is best left to be debated in Apologetics.

Therefore, at the time of this judgement, after the 1000 year reign of Christ, all that stand before God are unrighteous men, called "the dead." Demons are not called "the dead." Not so easy mister! lol Now you're reading into scripture something that just isn't there:

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Show us where it says "all" are cast into this Lake of Fire. :-?

You call this judgment, described in Rev.20:12-15, "The Great Judgment of God", and, indeed, it is the last great judgment described in the Scriptures. But there are other judgments written about in the Bible.

I read that those whose names are not in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death. They are humans who have died once and have been resurrected to stand before the great white throne for judging, and once Christ's righteous judgment has been imposed upon them, they will die again in the lake of fire. They are destroyed! But that doesn't mean they are annihilated for all eternity, for we read in:
1 Cor. 15:24-26 "..then the end will come when he (Christ) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death."

With death gone, there is only LIFE.

The Judgment spoken of in Rev. 20 is the final judgment. None come after it. It is a Judgment of the LORD, not Christ. It proclaims the eternal fate of those whose names are not in the Book. After this judgment, yes, death will cease to exist, but only for those who are deemed righteous.

Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Universalism in a fallacy. :-?

Good point. Revelations is about the end of an age, not the end of time. I know "End Times" is used often to describe the period, but it can be misleading to young Christians and those not yet regenerated. It is the end of an age not the end of time or the world. It is an end and a beginning. A revelation.

God has a plan for the ages. I see seven ages in the Bible. (Hum...there is that number seven again, I did not set out to find seven. )

1.INNOCENSE – (From creation to the fall of man…eating the forbidden fruit) - Edenic Covenant
2.CONSCIENCE – (From the fall of man to the Flood) - Adamic Covenant
3.HUMAN GOVERNMENT – (From leaving the ark to Abraham.) - Noahic Covenant
4.PROMISE – ( From Abraham to the Law) - Abrahamic Covenant
5.LAW – ( From giving of the Law at Sinai to the Resurrection of Christ) - Mosaic Covenant.
6.CHURCH – (From the Resurrection of Christ to His second coming) - Setting up the Church
7.KINGDOM – (The return from heaven of Christ and his Church to infinity)

The events of the book Revelations are the end of the sixth and the beginning of the seventh age, not the end of time.
 :)

this judgment also known as the great white throne judgement is when all the unsaved r judged..believers r judged at the judgement seat of Christ..spoken about in corinthians 5..

Not "wrong again." If you will look again, I said "(place of departed spirits)" "Soul sleep" is a fantasy. When sinners die today, they go to hell or hades. Call it what you will. Where is it? It is down in the belly of the earth. Talk to someone who has been there. There is fire. There is stygian darkness. There is weeping and gnashing of teeth. There are worms. It is not a pleasent place. Sorry, but no sleep here. Go back and read about Lazarus and the rich man again. It is a MUCH fuller revelation than what Soloman wrote.

[quote:3nwihz5e]Therefore, at the time of this judgement, after the 1000 year reign of Christ, all that stand before God are unrighteous men, called "the dead." Demons are not called "the dead." This is speaking of men. All unrighteous men throughout the ages are resurrected to stand before God. They are judged according to their works, and all are cast into the lake of fire. End if story.
Not so easy mister! lol Now you're reading into scripture something that just isn't there:

:-?[/quote:3nwihz5e]

Vic, this depends on what verse you place the most emphasis on. How do you compare the New Testamet verses with Eccl. when there seems to be disagreement? Most of Eccl. was the rantings of Soloman when he was away from God. Compare your above verse with these:

Matthew 8:16
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

Note: Jesus did not cast out a "breath." No, it was a spirit. In another verse, it was called "the spirit of a demon."

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

The spirit of a man has a will. However, I believe this will is a part of the soul, tied very tightly to the spirit. Breath has no will.

Mark 2:8
And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

Where did Jesus perceive? It say "in His spirit." This is speaking of the inner man, or as Paul said, the hidden man of the heart. When God speaks, we hear Him in our spirit. God speaks to our spirit. Our spirit hears and knows. This is not "life" or is it "breath." It is our inner man, or the real man inside.

Mark 8:12
And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign?

The spirit can sigh, or feel disappointment.

Luke 1:46
46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Mary magnified the Lord with her soul (Mind, will, emotions, affections.) Yet her spirit man inside, the inner man or hidden man of the heart, rejoiced. Our spirit man can be happy, or it (he or she) can be sad.

Luke 1:80
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Again, we see that the spirit is more than breath, or the breath of life. It is the inner man that can gain strength.

Luke 8:55
And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Note what left when she died, and came again when she was raised: it was her spirit, or the inner man. Yes, here I will admit that her breath came too!

Luke 23:46
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus as a man, knew that He would not have control over the inner man once He died. He had to have faith in God His father for that. He had to trust in God, that He would raise Him from the dead. So what left Jesus when He died? It was His spirit. Of course He quit breathing. What part of Jesus came back to His body in the tomb? It was His spirit.

Luke 24:39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Jesus said that a spirit has not flesh and bones, as He had, after He received His resurrection body. But see, they were thinking He was a spirit.

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is a spirit, and we are created in His image. Does it not make sense then, that we also are a spirit being?

John 7:39
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

God the Holy Spirit is a spirit, and He is a person, not an it, and not a breath. He has feelings, and thoughts, and great power.

Acts 7:59
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Indeed, Stephen's spirit did go back to God, because He was born again.

Acts 8:29
Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

The Holy Spirit talks. I have heard Him talk to me. I have heard my inner man, my spirit answer Him, and question Him.

Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Our spirit can receive knowledge from the Holy Spirit. Our spirit is far more than "breath."

1 Corinthians 2:11
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

The spirit of a man has knowledge. He knows things.

1 Corinthians 5:5
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

What part of a man gets saved? It is His spirit - or the inner man.

1 Corinthians 6:17
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

The Holy Spirit lives in our spirit, or inner man.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Our spirit is separate from our body, but both can glorify God.

Matthew 14:26
And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

What did they think they saw? a breath? No, they thought they saw a ghost or a spirit. The spirit is the inner man. The soul is the mind, will, emotions and affections of the inner man. The two can be separated only by the word of God.

We can see from the descriptions given, that evil spirits have desires, thoughts, plans, and assignments. They are living beings, yet called spirits. Today some would call them ghosts.

There are many more scriptures, but these will sufice. It is clear that Soloman did not know what he was saying. The New Testament is a more complete revelation of these things.

What part of the rich man, and what part of Lazarus went to hell? It was not their body! No, it was the spirit with the soul.

Vic, it is logic. Notice who makes up this group: "dead." Death. Hell. They were judged every man according to His works. The righteous are NOT judged according to works, but according to the book of life! Thank God we will not be judged according to our works! No ,we are judged according to Jesus' works, for we have His righteousness.

In fact, the righteous - all the righteous have at this time been resurrected. The righteous are part of the first resurrection. They cannot are are not here in this judgement. Therefore, I stand by what I said. It says, "death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." Who again is here? Death and hell are here!

Hi Coop, long time now, heh? Hope all is ok.

But no thanks, I don't have an interest in reentering a thread that is one year old. Besides, there aren't too many here who know about the origins of this Book of Life and it's connection to first century converts... and Jews in general.

Vic:

No problem! All is well on my home front! God is taking VERY good care of me! Glad to see you are still here. : -)))
