1 Peter 2:9 kjv
9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Revelation 22:16 kjv
16. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

I’m working on my 4th book called, “The Heavenly Tabernacle” in which I’m advocating a new, or let’s say “less explored” grand theme of the book of Revelation. So many Bible scholars and students of eschatology focus on the unraveling of mysteries; such as the meaning of the number 666, or who, when, and where the beast might be. I will be arguing that these end-times enthusiasts are completely missing the grand theme of the book . . . that the book of Revelation is about worship, and more specifically, worship in the Heavenly Tabernacle.

There are 10 celebrations of worship throughout the Book of Revelation, and after each celebration, something remarkable happens. Just as there were 10 plagues in the Exodus account until Pharaoh let the people of Israel go, the enemies of God are driven out of their strongholds and judged through the course of these 10 celebrations of worship.

I’m interested in discussing this theme and a number of sub-topics that flow out of the premise, such as: what and why is the Millennial Kingdom? When is the Rapture? and who are the 144,000? Any opinions, objections, or criticisms along the way are welcome.
I would offer In the end of the matter it's all about the use of signs that oppose prophecy by the oral traditions of dying mankind ..

Those seen and those not seen with the human eye.

Remember God is no longer bring new revelations we have the whole or perfect with no laws missing by which we could know God more intimately or adequately

That leaves the air way open of Satan. . king of lying signs to wonder after making all things written in the law and prophets to no efect .

We must be careful how we divide and not add or subtract from. . with the oral traditons of dying mankind. those under the persuasion of Satan the spirit of lies or god of this temporal world .

2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie

Amen. . after each celebration, something remarkable happens. The "let there be and it was God good" .

Signs that God is present follow them believe the gospel. They are not seen, we walk by faith the eternal not after the temporal things seen.

In the parable below God uses various metaphors to define the unseen work of the Holy Spirit .In his name the gospel our new tongue he can cast out demons as lying spirits The tongue of God our new tongue has the power to raise the dead and false prophecy as the poison of false apostles will not effect those trusting all things written in the law and prophets (sola scriptura)

Mark 16:16-18King James Version He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;1 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Not signs needed before someone has faith.

Like the faithless Jews that made Jesus into a circus seal. . work a miracle do a trick and when we it. . .then and only then we will believe .A form of atheism. No God not seen working in the hard hearts .

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

The 144,000 the golden measure of faith represent the bride of Christ . The Sun and mon under her feet (its the end of time) the chaste virgin bride the church

Revelation 12:1-2King James Version1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered

Millennial Kingdom the eternal kingdom timeless . Thousand represent unknown God. Gave no sign to wonder after.

So if Christ is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek, who are we? 1) We as believers are all Royal Priests (1Peter 2:9) "But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." And the fact of our Royal Priesthood is re-affirmed in Titus 2:14, Revelation 1:6, and Revelation 5:10. 2) We (our lives and bodies) are the sacrifice (Romans 12:1) "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." Also, see the following verses on Christians being the sacrifice: Philippians 2:17-18, 1 Peter 2:5, and Hebrews 13:5. 3) And finally, we (Christians) are the Temple of God (1Peter 2:4-5) "And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." Also, see the following verses on Christians being God's Temple: Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Revelation 3:12.
Not bad, but you understand Jesus is God, right? I haven't read all your post so I'm really not sure what you believe.

I think Scott Hahn beat you to it.
I'll just say that I don't know much about eschatology and that his book was a refreshing look at Revelation.
Which, I hope, yours will be too.
I wish you the best.

Thank you for the encouragement, Wondering. I'm guessing you are referring to Scott Hahn's, "The End". I am more of a Dispensational Futurist in my interpretive approach so I have a different perspective of what "The End" is.

No. The book I was referring to is titled THE LAMB'S SUPPER.
Subtitle: THE MASS AS HEAVEN ON EARTH.
Review Statement: Revelation mirrors the sacrifice and celebration of the Eucharist.

It took a long time to read it because I kept underlining sentences.
Not that I remember too much of it. (No scholar am I).

Maybe you could explain what a dispensational futurist for those of us that don't know. (incl me).
Thanks.

Since you asked, there are 4 main interpretive models or approaches in dealing with eschatology content or the study of end times. They are: 1) Historicist, 2) Idealist, 3) Preterist, and 4) Futurist. The Historicist interprets specific events such as the 7 churches in chapters 2 and 3 as a forecast of the entire span of history, and most of the events described in Revelation are thought to have already happened. The Idealist sees the events within the Book of Revelation to be purely symbolic and not to be taken in reference to any specific events but is an expression of basic principles on which God acts throughout history. The Preterist views the drama of Revelation to have all taken place during the time of the apostle John's contemporaries - in the first century AD. The Futurist believes the events of the book of Revelation are yet to happen. Dispensational Futuralist simply means we believe in a real Millennial 1000-year Kingdom.

Hawkman, you really need to read these passages in Hebrews to understand this concept, but the fact that Messiah is our (every Christian's) High Priest in the order of Melchizedek is absolutely a New Testament concept. Read Hebrews chapters 5 to chapter 7 and I would be happy to discuss this further.

Is the Messiah only our High Priest ? And yes I did the homework above :) .

28. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

hawkman In post 16 said is the Messiah only a High Priest?

We can get hung up on the priesthood compared to Melchizedek, or we can go on to a timelessness of Jesus as The Son.

As the son he is seated in heaven forever.

The forever as The Son is greater than the reference to Melchizedek.

Paul River kept talking about Melchizedek, but Hebrews 7 moved on to looking at the eternal Son.

Hawkman set it up, and I just joined in on the many things Jesus was. Granny’s quote Revelation 22;16

When on the day of Acts 2 Pentecost
came:
What were the signs?
Word of knowledge
Word of wisdom
Prophecy
Discerning of spirits (others standing by)
Tongues
Fulfillment of prophecy
Others. ( I could go on)

What was the ultimate result?
3000 people were saved

Signs not seen by the eye follow one that believe. they do not lead. remember the faithless jws made jesu into a circus sel do a trick work a miracle then when we see it then and only then will they believe.

Signs as metaphors used in the parable below with our new gospel tongue, God cast out demons empowering the born again believer that if offered the false prophecy of or serpents They will not be affected

Mark 16:16-18King James Version16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Those that seek after a sign before believe call them sign gifts

John 4:48Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

He called them a evil generation .No faith that could please God. Believers have prophecy.

I am simply assigning Him the title Melchizedek because that is who we know he is within the context of this Heavenly Tabernacle in the Book of Revelation.
Why do you want to assign Jesus this title Melchizedek ? For what purpose ? To me it only brings confusion to the Book of Revelation .

The signs and wonders show up to those that believe even if they don't seek them . Seeking is not necessary .
Signs to wonder after did show up. The last the sign of Jonah. fulfilled by the son of man Jesus empowered by the Holy Father .

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Signs for unbeliever. Prophecy for those who do believe.

It can be displayed with Moses in Egypt the believer were trusting in the prophecy of Abraham 430 years in bondage.

God used a twofold sign. . if they do not believe the first the second will come death of the first born.

Note . . .Life and death the power of the tongue of God.

The sign of Death the mediator of unbelievers

Prophecy sola scriptura, the mediator of eternal life

Exodus 4 King James Version4 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee. And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. death

Exodus 7:15-18 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand. And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear. Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.

The signs and wonders show up to those that believe even if they don't seek them . Seeking is not necessary .
Those signs as metaphors follow belief, Luke 16

The ones that lead by wondering is a horse of a different color. No such thing as "sign gifts "

Spiritual unseen gifts, yes

Signs for unbeliever. Prophecy for those who do believe.
Mr. G Lee do you believe the verses below ?

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

I would suggest Search out the meaning of that parable there are many metaphors used to reveal the gospel.

Many signs and wonder seekers died drinking poison. Not one by laying on hands raised the three-day dead. God is not served by the hands of dying mankind.

Poison represents false prophecy. The serpent the false apostles. New tongue the gospel the power of the gospel to raise the dead.

Remember those were unseen signs they followed new birth., and joy continued they were not sought after they were given new birth . by the incorruptible seed Christ

There is no PARABLE in Mark Chapter 16 ! It is the words of Jesus telling us as Christians what to do and what will happen .

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

11. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14. And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Signs:
True signs from God
False signs from evil ones

We are in End Times
To discuss all signs it would take another thread. Not that I can do credit to the subject.
