I know one thing as before I got my first computer my house was a lot cleaner, not that it's dirty, but did spend more time cleaning it. The internet is like anything else we take pleasure in as it can and can not be good for us as it all depends how you use it.

People on the internet can help someone not to commit suicide you don't need to be face to face to help someone. Plus music that was only available through the internet helped through a very rough time in my life. The internet also helped me grow in the faith a lot.
