The Jews and their denial of Christ as Messiah

I have read statements on the Internet where some pastors of churches continue to praise Israel as God's special people. I do believe that the Jews have a special place in God's eyes, because of the Abrahamic covenant...but IF people deny that Jesus is the Christ how can they claim to love God. To my mind they would be in the same category as other sinners who who deny Jesus. From the time Jesus came, the Jews were opposed to him even today. The bible states that there is no other name under heaven whereby men (I think this would includes Jews) will be saved/

Hope this is not seen as anti-Jewish I am just asking a question which is biblically based.

hardly, consider the source of the person who has just posted this. any jew who denies the lord isn't one of gods people. im a jew whom is saved. birth has nothing to do with salvation unless it the born again type. and that isn't hinged upon blood of man but of jesus

Are you referring to Jews like the Pharisee's or Jews like Peter?

Rom 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (29) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

But God still has a plan for the unbelieving Jew.

Rom 3:1-3 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? (2) Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. (3) For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Rom 11:25-29 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (27) For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. (28) As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. (29) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

im not a futurist, but one can not, nor ever be in the a physical location of the levant to be called of that nation. there are more jews in America then in isreal. and many jews might be from gentile lines or mixed. its a small amount at present but the jews are marrying gentiles more and more and jews also adopt gentiles and rename them with Hebrew last names.

Mathew 15:24 "
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Rom 11:11-12 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. (12) Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

Revelation 21.8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
What if the Jews continue to deny Jesus and REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS INDEED THE MESSIAH. Unbelief is doubt. When you doubt you are in essence calling God a liar. From what I hear some pastors say, it seems that God favours the Jews DESPITE their UNBELIEF.

Isa 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1Pe_2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

I see so many videos of Jewish believers on the internet, and I know that there is one truth and one way to the Father in Christ Jesus, and it just keeps spreading and spreading and spreading...that I suspect that there are many Jewish believers in Israel that are not uh, 'coming out' so to speak because the fullness of time has not come in yet.

Why would they have to not 'come out', how would that effect the Gentiles from coming in? It didn't in the first century church. I don't think I understand what you are saying.

Has it ever been considered that this 'event' for the Jews and others who have not found their faith in Christ of 'coming in' will be part of the work of the Millennium? Where the final 3 feasts of the OT are completed?

I ask this in all sincerity, why does this bother you so?

I think this is talking about God's repentance (changing His mind).

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Hos 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

He sent the Redeemer to pay the ransom. Here, in Hosea, is the prophecy that He will not change His mind about that.

Yeah as Deborah said it's about God changing His mind ( specifically not changing his mind and going back on His Word in this case ). The Romans 11 passage is about God keeping His promises to Israel.

Texts of the dead sea scrolls speak of a warrior messiah like King David. This warrior type of Messianic movement was so big and powerful that it defeated the romans in AD 66. How could this movement exist in such a small region at the same time of the pacifist messianic movement? They were looking for some one like Judas Maccabee http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_Maccabeus who was successful in defeating and kicking out the Greeks that reigned the region after Alexander the Great's conquests. The Jews at the time wanted the Romans out. The Herod family was put in by the Romans after they took sides with a faction of a portion of the Maccabee family over the other. The people didn't accept them even though they took Maccabean brides to produce Maccabean blood heirs.

good question, and it brings up a big deception in the world today.
the best answer of course, is from Scripture.

to whom did God entrust the Scriptures? in essence, language, customs, lives, and promises.... the Jews.
through whom did God bring Salvation to the world ?.............................................yep........ the Jews. (it is written)
which people did God chose for Himself when all the world was evil and astray ? .................... the Jews.
to whom did God make the promise,
the promise of the Creator Who Himself is Almighty, Who created all things,
that whoever blesses them, He, The One Mighty God, will bless,
and whoever cursed/hurts them(in any way), He, the One Mighty God, will curse ? ..... yep..... the Jews !
(note that in Scripture, even when God used another nation to punish the Jews for their disobedience, God then destroyed the other nation that He had used to punish the Jews. God is Sovereign, and He does what He pleases. He does what He wants, and it is not at all like people think. (yes, it is written.) ) .....
....
perhaps the biggest promise of all , that will change the whole world more than anything else soon to be, or ever before, except of course for the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.....
the promise that Jesus will not return UNTIL His people, the Jews, all cry out with one voice and one heart and one soul and all of their strength "Blessed is He Who comes in the Name ADONAI !!!" (the same they cried out when Jesus entered Jerusalem before)....
when they do, on the verge of Jerusalem being overrun , JESUS RETURNS !!! AMAZING GRACE !!!
just in the nick of time, just at the last possible moment humanly speaking, Jesus returns, and all the enemy bursts into flame in an instant.... ... .... ("not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit sayeth the Lord" ) (i.e. don't trust in man, or in mankind. put all trust in Yhwh by faith in Yeshua, sheer grace, a gift from God)... ...
(bible ref : last few chapters of the last book of Scripture; but read starting in Revelation chapter ONE - it is SO Wonderful!)
