The last thing the devil can do is to kill you

Do you mean kill us physically or spiritually? Only God has the power to destroy body and soul, right?

Matthew 10:28 NKJV
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Luke 12:5 NKJV
"But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!"

The last thing the devil can do is kill you, a preach once said.
The Devil cannot kill one single Christian! He cannot even terminate the carcass that, for the moment, contains the Christian's Spirit. This preacher sounds like he is to based in the natural as to, possibly, be no Heavenly good.

Study the book of Job.

Thats interesting.

So, if we agree with what you said, for the sake of conversation, then let me play Devil's advocate... and ask you this.

If Satan puts it into the mind of one of his to kill you, and they do, then who killed you?

Of course this is like asking if its the gun or the person holding the gun......but thats my point.

Who killed you?

Of course he meant physically. But I don't think I believe that unless GOD permits that. However I don't think all death cases are His will

Then it seems there are four kinds of death:
One caused by the devil...if HE permits it
Another caused by God
Another caused by our carelessness
And that of natural death - at old age.

I'm sorry but you as amiss. Once again I point you to the Word of God, particularly, the book of Job. Satan has no power over me nor does he have power over any Christian that has dedicated his or her life to God. If you read the entire text of the scripture, as God wants you to do, you will understand a number of answers that, just, enrage most of the church. (No, I did not misspell Church.)

Over 98% of the church was proven not to be any part of the Church by the mid-eighties Barna Group Survey of the American Church and because of the numbers of the Faithless, we find the reason so much errant theology (Heresy) is taught in the Church making it the church, with a small c.

Jesus, God in the flesh of a man, did not pay homage to, nor did He fear the Religious and the Religious are what the churches are full of. And, as I actively prepare for, not death but for, my translation into the spirit, like Chopper, Reba and a few others I do not fear Satan and we know there is no death for the Followers of the Christ. And if Satan sends an agent to exterminate this body, he has the permission of my Father in Heaven and that is as good a method to translate as this Multiple Sclerosis I would not desire for my worst enemy.

I will not die, neither by a bullet nor by any compli8cation from the MS. And the great part is that when Jesus appears on the cloud, I and my Body, now in the Glorified State, will reunite. The problem here is the failure of many, so called, men of God, to teach the scriptures... all of the scriptures. Christians never die.

Ok, ill ask you once more.

If SATAN put into the mind of ONE OF HIS......(not a Christian)..
If Satan put into the mind of one of his, to shoot you, and you died.....then who killed you?

Thats the question.

How we die verses the causes of death are a subtle difference. But there is one. If a person if shot or dies of a heart attack, the answer to death can stop right there. We know the how, and that's cause enough. If you go past that, you can say a person shot another because of a growing hatred, a feud, or a duel. These are causes to why the action was taken. Move on from there, a person was shot because of his hatred for another, blinded by the hatred he was seduced by sin, and the cause of the sin ....

The problem with all of that is that largely we don't know those answers except in books written by authors that wish to give those details to the reader. The cause of a cause of a cause can get to a point of no answer outside of speculation.

If we resist the devil, or by following God the devil stands against us, either way the conditions for Satan to try and harm us is there. And the verse to feer not man or devil because one can kill your body but God is the one who holds both your body and your soul's fate. Mathew 10:28. This verse I think is the point your pastor was coming from. At least that's what I assume. But on that note, I think I would disagree. All the devil can do is nothing compared to God. But compared to us, make no mistake we are very small and insignificant, and only stronger with God's help. The devil has many tricks to snare us into sin. God has many resources and Himself as well to save us, and strengthen us from those snares.
