The Meaning of Your Username

The story behind my user name:

My wife and I ride a tandem bicycle (bicycle built for two). I use this username for all my accounts so I don’t have to remember a bunch of different ones. I’m getting old and my memorizer doesn’t work as well as it used to.

My username is Adullam meaning the cave of Adullam where David rallied his followers. I see this today as the church of Adullam that is outside the realm of the church of Saul where the majority are. So Adullam represents the place where the minority gather to follow God's anointed one...Christ.

Years ago I was on this (and several other forums) under another user name, but I stopped posting with that user name because I did not want my posts to be associated with my web site. I officially don't post any longer under that name according to my site, but I can post as myself, separate from it. For that reason, I won't even say what my old user name was as it can be googled and linked to my site.
 
Before Christ grabbed a hold of me, I relied on other things--pop psychology, pills (upper and downers were my favorites), and New Age stuff--to "empower" me. I even had a user name on a web forum for psychiatric patients to that effect. Then, God got a hold of me, I went through "Jesus Camp" for 1 year, and it was time to change. So, I became "Christ_empowered," because now I try to remind myself that He keeps me going.
 
I have a long Ukranian last name and Nacho is what all my friends called me growing up so I use that as a user name on most forums. :)
 
Given my heritage if I lived back in Christ day I would most likely be a Roman or Greek citizen. It's sort of a spin on an old nickname and some Italian blood I have in my veins.

Jesus Freak is a song by DC Talk. It is also what I am. I am a Jesus freak. And the 97 is just cuz Jesus Freak is usually taken so I add on a random number at the end.

"What would people think if they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak? What would people do if they find that it's true? I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak they're ain't no disguising the truth!"

I love "Colored People" :)

My username stems from the Christian Bible/youth group I attend at my college: The Navigators. I also felt it fit me well, because while I've been a Christian my whole life, I still feel I have some "navigating" to do towards finding a closer relationship to God ;)
 
It's not very deep. I was born on March 30, so my birthstone is aquamarine. It's kind of close to the color of the sky sometimes. 54 is a number I like for some reason. I've made accounts on other websites with this name and since "aquamarinesky" is sometimes taken, I always have that random number to add.
