[_ Old Earth _] The Noachian Flood and the Distribution of Fossils

So why are conifers found in lower sediments than cedars? Cedar is more dense than pine, BTW.

Explain how this happened.

Because the softer pine saturates, waterlogs, and sinks faster than the denser cedar. :P

Pretty cool, ey?

Look at the geologic record, and note the correlation between softer woods, and lower positions in the column. Just as the catastrophic model predicts.

Um, no.

Pretty cool, ey?

Imagineering won't help. Besides, it doesn't explain why rooted pine trees are below rooted hardwoods.

Look at the geologic record, and note the correlation between softer woods, and lower positions in the column.

So you're arguing that they grew roots as they sunk?

Just as the catastrophic model predicts.

As usual, the "catastrophic model" is just making things up as they go along. You guys would have been better off with the "Cedar trees can run faster than pine trees" story.

Maybe we need a time out for thumper. He's getting a little cranky now.

When you figure out how those trees ran so fast, let us know.
