The Nonsense Thread.

Think nonsensical logic---as nonsense is this threads concern---

one hen, two ducks ... now; what would be three? :-D bonnie

Oh Caroline~ you have such a good brain! ... She's a good-un' Tim. :-)

It IS one hen ~ two ducks ~ and three squawking geese!

Four is even more nonsense ... want to try to guess it? It lives in brackish water and is one of the bivalve molusk family... containing the possibility of treasure. :D bonnie

Surely it's not four oysters?

Bonnie, is this some sort of song or nursery rhyme? Thanks for the compliment :D

Hey Caroline~

It is far from a nursery rhyme ... I memorised this ditty when was 13, laid up one entire summer after an operation, with nothing better to do except read.

And YES oysters are an excellent guess, as usual. 8-)

It goes;

One hen
Two ducks
Three squawking geese
Four limerick oysters
Five corpulent (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)

Wanna try for five ? Remember the thread theme~ nonsense... :fadein: bonnie

What is MORE corpulent than porpoises?

An how bout six? Six are pairs ... as in, Six pairs of . . . ( ? )

I WARN you--- thee numbers increase thee silliness of thee nouns.

And here is where logic runs into a unsurmountable wall of double talk.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
One hen
Two ducks
Three squawking geese
Four Limerick oysters
Five corpulant porpoises
AND... Six pairs of Don El Varso' tweezers. :) ...aheh~

wanna go for seven ? :smt036

Holy Moley! I thought we were sticking with animals...that one blew my brain :smt073

How about ... seven thousand _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ in full battle array?

Okay ess too nonsense--- or ees too diffeecult--- or yust TOO!

Seven thousand Macedonians in full battle array... :-D

Eight brass monkeys from the ancient sacred crypts of Egypt.

Nine apathetic, diabetic, old men on roller skates--- who have a marked perpensity towards procrastination and sloth.

Aannd finally--- Ten lyrical, sphereical, diabolical, denisons of the deep--- who haul, stall, around the corner of the status quo in the quay of the quivery quake all at the same time.

Done .
