The Parable of Parables

Parables are the righteousness of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the love of Jesus Christ, becoming as a little child is who the parables are for, and what way they are understood, the same way good behaviour is hidden from adults, is why the good of the parables is hidden from understanding, but only because the person is strong in understanding and then doing evil.

The talk people do is evil surmising before the end, so people can surmise on.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8
All says basically that parables hide the Kingdom teaching from men. The righteous have the understanding of parables revealed to them in private.

Ezekiel 24:3 kjv
3. And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
4. Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.

This is a parable about parables, and in itself hides (to some) the why parables. Those that are rebellious do not understand. Those who are declared righteous have the parables meaning revealed to them by Jesus (in private).

The multitudes just get a riddle:
Hearing they hear not.
Seeing they see not.

Privately the disciples are told how to see the meaning of parables. They are shown the higher meaning of the Kingdom.

Parables hid the meaning of the Kingdom from the unrighteous/rebellious.

Let scripture explain why parables. The Holy Spirit leads into all truth. eddif is not the source.

Luke 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
The prophets mentioned a Messiah.

The word became flesh. The promised Messiah was Jesus.

Jesus in our hearts and minds is the word planted in our hearts.

Christ in us is the ultimate reality. The multitudes heard a parable they did not understand. Hearing they heard not and seeing they saw not.

Revelation 3:20 kjv
20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Out heart (the ground) must open to receive the seed. The seed will grow and mature in a broken and contrite heart.

Psalms 51:17 kjv
17. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Repentance in some way breaks the heart to receive the seed.

Really strange to get into parables.

A plowman breaks the ground

A sower (Jesus) plants the seed
A water person waters (Holy Spirit)
God gives the growth

Is the truth in the parable? Yes.

Do natural people see salvation when they see a cornfield? I would say no.
Does a born again person understand the corn harvest? Yes.

John 24:12 kjv
12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

John 16:7 kjv
7. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

John 14:17 kjv
17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

So:
Jesus taught the crowds parables they could not comprehend the spiritual meaning of.

But:
We are sent to preach the Gospel that is able to be comprehended. Also the spiritual gifts give the power to do what Jesus did.

It makes very little sense to think we are the source of the power.

We do not speak parables that conceal.

Luke 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

And Jesus brought His disciples attention to this parable, which same is repeated in the Gospels many times, the understanding of all parables:
Revelation 3:20 kjv
20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Man’s heart appears to be the door. Stony ground will not let the seed in. A broken and contrite heart.

Romans 6:4 kjv
4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

God gives us a heart of flesh. The seed can then enter.

Die to self.
