Yesterday I was chatting with somebody on the issue: how money can help you achieve whatever you want or give you public recognition and respect. He mentioned something. He said also, money or lack of it can deny you the quality of a woman or an exact woman you long to marry. "some men marry some women , not that they are their heart desires, they had no other choice. "

I'm not that shallow. I care for deep things, like his looks and such.

Seriously though. Sorry to hear you made such bad experiences. But things may change with young people since women are able to take care of their own finances nowadays so they don't need the guys for money any more.

I wouldn't mind dating a poor guy in general. In my experience though there are many people who's lack of money is the result of other problems (lack of ambition, laziness, low self-esteem, low sense of responsibility and so on) and those things aren't quite attractive. I'm sure that's also how men would feel about women the other way around.

When I met my husband 16 years ago what drew me to him was the love of Christ I saw in his eyes. He had very little money and worked a job that basically paid for his room and board. I was working in a gas station making $7.00 an hour. A few days after we got married he lost another job he had and all we had was my income. Money has never been an issue with either of us as God has always provided for our needs. I sure agree with you there! I know and talk to a lot of people in the "looking for marriage" age group. It shocks me how many times I've been told of women (in the area I live in at least) are almost 100% concerned with the amount of money the guy has or, probably more accurately, the amount of things he can afford to give her. I hear all the time about women in this area who won't even seriously date a man unless he drives an expensive enough car and is willing to show her how much money he makes and how much he has in the bank. No wonder most marriages fail.

You know, in the secular world these days, the primary reason for dating seems to be sex, and when someone trades sex for riches what do we call that?

Of course, the OP is about qualities in a woman. Good qualities of a man is another good topic that should be looked at too, especially by us guys.
