So how would you paraphrase Romans 14:17 so that the general public can understand it?

Romans 14:17 is telling Christians that they are not to be focused on foods and drinks, and whether they are acceptable or unacceptable, but to focus on (1) righteousness-- doing what is right in God's eyes, (2) peace with all men (as much as is possible), and (3) joy which comes from the indwelling Holy Spirit. That's what the Kingdom of God (which is within you) is all about.

Context is key throughout the Word of God, and the context is "doubtful disputations" (14:1) about which foods are acceptable for believers and which are not (or holy days also). The spiritual principle that is emphasized is to give no offence to brethren who are weak in the faith and dispute about these matter.

God has already ruled "that there is nothing unclean of itself" (Rom 14:14) therefore Christians are permitted to eat any meat that is available with thanksgiving (1 Tim 4:4,5) provided (a) it has not been sacrificed to idols, (b) it has not been strangulated, (c) that blood is not consumed (Acts 15:13-29).

Yes, I agree.
But that is not what another said and I was asking that person to clarify what they said.

Actually grace begins at Gen 3:21 with Adam and Eve and their coats of skins, and continues on for eternity. Also Abel comes before Noah (Heb 11:4).

However, the reason Chafer would have believed that the Law (the ceremonial aspects) would be revived is because a careful reading of Ezekiel chapters 34-48 shows that this is indeed the case.... (And its Scofield).

Does that nullify grace? God forbid. Does that nullify the cross? God forbid. But there is no question that during the Millenium, and after that for eternity, Israel will be established in the land as described by Ezekiel.

While this is beyond our present comprehension, what God reveals must surely be true and surely come to pass. There has never been a Temple such as that described by Ezekiel. It is yet future. Unger's Bible Dictionary says: "It is not a description of a temple that was ever was built, but of one which is to be built in Jerusalem during the ideal spiritual and political conditions to prevail druing the Kingdom Age".
what chapters in Ezekiel, you said isreal was to be a priestly nation, AND THE jews will reaching the lost, so jesus had to remove his church that had the promise not to fail.

that and this, what exactly is the commandents to isreal now? is it the old way or new way. zeke taken literally says OLD
And I have sprinkled over you clean water, And ye have been clean; From all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, I do cleanse you.
26 And I have given to you a new heart, And a new spirit I give in your midst, And I have turned aside the heart of stone out of your flesh, And I have given to you a heart of flesh.
27 And My Spirit I give in your midst, And I have done this, so that in My statutes ye walk, And My judgments ye keep, and have done them.
28 And ye have dwelt in the land that I have given to your fathers, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I -- I am to you for God.

if were to post the same thing about Abraham, it would almost word for word. so its not the same as the cross. it cant be. where is the listed verses to read that are about ceremonial rewriting about the torah? ie if don't do the shabat? what would happen. Isiah says it returns

Thank you for saying this.
that is why I see no need for isreal in this teaching to be. im of isreal. isreal is where ever the Hebrews are. even the jews of today agree! so when isreal if it ever does returns, then how will the sinner know? they have to come to isreal to learn? or do the Hebrews go to them. if its the later then its a church.

There is a whole lot I can say about the kingdom and Adam's forfeiture of his authority to rule as it's written whom you obey, your the servant of. (Rom 6:16) Jesus came to destroy the work of the devil and bridge that gap between God and man, giving back our right to have access to the Fathers will and power. (1Jn 3:8, Heb 2:14-15) Anyway.........

Romans 14:17...............

We need to look at all the rest of the scriptures. What is Paul saying here and why use Basielia? (Female Noun Translated Kingdom)

Paul is talking about food sacrificed to Idols. One group of brothers (sisters) were chowing down on scrumptious Idol sacrificed food. (Pass me the Zeus blessed rolls please) The group strong in faith knew that food offered to something that is not ever real, don't mean a thing as long as it taste good.

Another group, that was also saved, had grown up with these idols and after knowing Jesus, still felt that the food somehow might still be tainted with Zeus power. However some ate against their own conscience, following the others.

Paul said that I am convinced that no matter how many times Zeus blesses it, it's food and nothing is wrong with it. It won't honk God off at you or diminish his authoritative power in your life. Zeus is just a Marvel comic made up guy anyway. (Rom 14:14)

Paul went on to say though that to eat it knowing it ruins the faith of your brother, is bad, bad, bad. Don't do that. Don't destroy him with Zeus food, because Christ died for him.

Let not your good (Faith in being able to eat anything knowing it's prayed over and sanctified by the Word, and idols have no power regardless) become evil.

Romans 14:17
For the authoritative Power of Our God is not in food and drink, like those think their food is sacrificed to idols. Our strength is righteousness, Joy, and the Holy Ghost. Not in food, as it seems to those that worship false Zeus gods.

Rom 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

Eating that meat sacrificed to idols does not destroy the power and work of God in your life, all things are pure, sacrificed to Zeus or not, unless someone eats offending their conscience.

Blessings.

Eating Zeus rolls? Now there is an interesting subject.

The Jewish person would have to conquer the non kosher thoughts before he could eat the rolls. They would have to bless the rolls to eat them. God would see his faith.

The Gentile would confess his past sins and refrain from eating the rolls. God would understand his weakness and accept his faith.

The former Jewish idol worshiper would need a lot of faith to deal with who he was. Grace would abound.

Satan would encourage the eating of Zeus rolls based on: smell, taste, looks (lust of the flesh). He would not want you to consider the religious aspect of eating the rolls, but just look at rolls ( thus Satan wants to void faith).

In Christ, the relationship with our brothers far outweighs eating rolls. An (in your face attitude) is to be avoided. With the right spirit, the middle wall remains broken down, and fellowship abounds.

The gluten intolerant person applies his faith toward healing, and tries to avoid mental thoughts that will give an adverse reaction ( thus seeing all things work toward good). Food allergies use avoidance. Some conversations need the use of avoidance.

See Acts 3:19, but for context read Acts 3:12-26. It is truly amazing that Israel (by and large) rejected their Messiah again and again, and everywhere that Paul went the Jews hated the Gospel. Read the book of Acts.

After God judged Israel in 70 AD they became even more entrenched in hating the Gospel, and the Talmud became their Bible. Today, the majority of Jews still hate the Gospel (as do the Muslims), and it is only by God's grace that some are saved.

Isaiah 19:24
In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
Isaiah 19:25
Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
