The Temple of His Body.

I agree with your statement. I like what James Ryle had to say about what we are concerned with....

James Ryle,
"Sooner or later the last word will be spoken. All debate will cease, and arguments will come to an end. Somebody somehow in someway will be able to sum it all up and put everything and everyone in their place. That somebody is Jesus.

Until then we are surrounded by a hurricane of opinions, ideas, suggestions, postulations, pontifications, exaggerations, exclamations, theories, concepts, notions, imaginations, vanities, snippets, and a host of other verbal squalls that wreck lives and strew debris across the landscape.

The wind blows faster and faster, the swirl moves more and more quickly — gathering speed and force. The vortex of the man-made Blow Cloud sucks virtually everything and everyone into it spin. Soon it will reach such velocity that one will hardly be able to put a clear thought on the table for discussion.

BOOM! That’s when a trumpet blast will call the whole thing to a screeching halt and we will find ourselves dizzy with nonsense as we stand before the Lord. He will look us over, and His gaze will humble us one and all.

And then He will speak — and what He says goes. He will have the final word on everything and everyone. It would be a good idea to become friends with Him now, don’t you think?"

This is exactly how I feel my friend.

Exactly, Brother. Let's all realize that as we progress into the last days, and gross darkness covers the land and people...that the Lord will also bring purification to the church, purity, holiness, and the fear of God. He's coming back for His (spotless) Bride, and she WILL be spotless. (look around, is the church spotless?! NO) so this is something that the Lord Himself can only do. We must be ready though.

I believe that a prophetic type of this is illustrated in Luke 13. On the Sabbath (we're early in the morning of the 7th day), he goes to the temple to teach (we are the temple now)...and calls to HER (His Bride, the church), and heals her because she can not stand up on her own (this is the spiritual condition of the church right now!).

Luke 13:
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.../

Then the Bride will be spotless. The world may be covered by gross darkness right now, but a polarization must take place to offset the darkness...this will be done by God alone so that no man can boast.

This is interesting to me chopper. I feel the exact opposite.

I am currently on family vacation at the beach. I've never seen or felt the ocean till yesterday. It's very large and was pretty rough from the storm blowing in. The Bible often speaks of the people of the world like the sea.

While the conditions outside are not at all what you desire for a beach vacation, I am so relaxed and at rest in our place. It may storm and get even worse before it gets better - but there is no storm inside(except my wife who wanted sun lol)

I feel the same way about our faith. I have never in my life been more at rest, and each day it seems to grow more and more. Peace I call it. I look 'outside' and see waves of doubt and fear all around me. I look inside and find those not at peace because of what's happening outside. But when I look at my position, where I am residing, I have nothing but comfort and peace.

The hurricane is outside, it's perfect inside.

I do not agree with Mr. James Ryle. The presence of thousands of denominations and teachings says aboute what many people accept the Bible as ‘the word of men’ (1 Thess.2: 13), not as ‘a more sure word of prophecy’ (2 Pet. 1:19).

I like what you have written Edward. As we approach the Rapture of the Bride, the events prior to that may not change at all because we won't know when Jesus will come for His Bride. But after the Bride is gone, what you have proposed will take place during the first half of the tribulation.

All those who claim Jesus as their Savior in our churches, who have not taken their position as serious as the Bride, therefore they must pass thru 3 1/2 years of tribulation. That will weed out the fakers from the genuine. The genuine Believers who have passed thru the furnace of persecution and personal trials like refusing the mark of the beast and the hardships of that decision, will be ready for Jesus to gather them up at that half way point.

NOTICE: Edward and I beg all folks who read this, if you're not serious about being a Child of God, START NOW!! Study the Scriptures daily, give God a sacrifice of thanksgiving at least 3 times a day. Be continually in a season of prayer for others, and please, renew a great love for others. Read James for a good explanation of how to live in these last days.

Edward and I love each of you who read this, therefore be blessed in Jesus with Grace & Peace.

You, my friend, are the exception, not the rule. I pray that God will give you and yours an exceptional flow from the gifts of the Holy Spirit of Grace, peace & a wonderful experience of being next to the ocean of God's will.

I love You my Brother.

Hi Chopper,
Where is this found?

In the Book of Revelation, in the fifth chapter, the whole Church of God is represented to us in its entirety. Jesus Christ said: ‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up’ (John. 2:19). He ‘spake of the temple of his body’ (John.2:21). This Temple will be rebuilt during three thousand years, because ‘one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day’ (2Pet.3:8)

So, ‘the four beasts’ (Rev.5:6) are ‘faithful’ (Rev. 17:14), or ‘church of the firstborn’ (Heb.12:23), or ‘a sheaf of the firstfruits’ (Lev.23:10) of the harvest...,

Twenty-four elders are ‘called, & chosen’ (Revelation 17:14), or ‘barley harvest and of wheat harvest’ (Ruth.2:23), or ‘two wave loaves’ (Lev.23:17) ...,

Many Angels (Rev. 5:11) are the saved of the Millennium and the righteous of the Old Testament who will be resurrected "at the end" (Dan.12:13) of the Millennium is the ‘feast of ingathering at the year's end’ (Ex.34:22)

kc1, you might find this interesting. its from the epistle of Barnabas:
Barnabas 15:3
Of the Sabbath He speaketh in the beginning of the creation; And
God made the works of His hands in six days, and He ended on the
seventh day, and rested on it, and He hallowed it.

Barnabas 15:4
Give heed, children, what this meaneth; He ended in six days. He
meaneth this, that in six thousand years the Lord shall bring all
things to an end; for the day with Him signifyeth a thousand years;
and this He himself beareth me witness, saying; Behold, the day of
the Lord shall be as a thousand years.
Therefore, children, in six
days, that is in six thousand years, everything shall come to an end.

Barnabas 15:5
And He rested on the seventh day. this He meaneth; when His Son
shall come, and shall abolish the time of the Lawless One, and shall
judge the ungodly, and shall change the sun and the moon and the
stars, then shall he truly rest on the seventh day.

I pray the same for you and all who are in Christ.

This book is not God-inspired. The Bible has 66 books.

Yes I know. I was presenting some writing from Barnabas?? in reference to this statement you presented:

" This Temple will be rebuilt during three thousand years, because ‘one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day’ (2Pet.3:8)"

adding to scripture should be a scary thing 2 peter 3;8 says this
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Hi Chopper,
Where is this found?

Glad you asked Friend. The key is the man of lawlessness's appearance....

The Man of Lawlessness
2Thessalonians 2:1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

The general opinion of many Theologians is; this place in 2 Thessalonians 2 where antichrist overtakes the Temple and claims to be God, is the half-way point in the Trib.

reba, I didn't add to scripture. I just presented the thoughts of an early christian. Threw it out there.
Barnabas basically said for each day of creation..1,000 years will be given to man.
kc1 some how associated it with the building of the temple.

I thought you were indicating some sort of second rapture.

Question about the temple....Currently Israel seems to be wanting to build it. Once built, how will God respond to the temple? Will God honor the temple and the re-installed jewish sacrifices...or say....nope, that don't count anymore. You need the blood of Christ.

The Church of God is also shown in her entirety in Song of Solomon.
‘Thou art beautiful, O my love,’ (Song. 6: 4), ‘my spouse‘ (Song. 4: 8)
‘There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.’(Song. 6: 8)

‘spouse‘ – ‘faithful’ (Rev. 17:14), or ‘the bride‘ (Rev.21:9), or ‘church of the firstborn’ (Heb.12:23), or ‘a sheaf of the firstfruits’ (Lev.23:10) of the harvest, or ‘the four beasts’ (Rev.5:6)...,

‘threescore queens, and fourscore concubines’ – ‘called, & chosen’ (Rev. 17:14), or ‘barley harvest and of wheat harvest’ (Ruth.2:23), or ‘two wave loaves’ (Lev.23:17), or ‘four and twenty elders’ (Rev.5:8)…

‘and virgins without number’ – ‘many angels’ (Rev. 5:11) -- are the saved of the Millennium and the righteous of the Old Testament who will be resurrected "at the end" (Dan.12:13) of the Millennium is the ‘feast of ingathering at the year's end’ (Ex.34:22)

Thank you so very much for your questions. Questions, as a rule, keep authors of theology honest and causes them to be sure of their proposals.

Actually there are two "gatherings". Many call them "raptures", I prefer to call them gatherings. The first gathering of God's Bride will be pre-trib. The second gathering will be mid-trib as explained in 2 Thessalonians 2.

I think you are right in the second Temple. Since it will be the place where antichrist will take it over as a self proclaimed god, God will ignore it....just my thoughts.
