Matt. 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

The violent take it by force. Thats the part I do not understand. And who are they??? :dunno :confused :shrug

"....until now". Does it apply today, until now? Seems like one of those difficult-to-understand verses of the bible.

No, I don't get it either. I have now read through every Bible analysis I have and no-one gives a plausible explanation. :dunno

I may be wrong but I do have a take on this.
Think of violent in a positive manner.
If we are all waiting at the Gates of Heaven to get in, and then suddenly the gates opened, wouldn't we all rush in?
It would be like a tidal wave.
The new dispensation were upon them.
There were many awaiting this time and would receive it and act on it with great force.

There is another verse which says that believers must 'through much tribulation enter the kingdom of God' (Acts 14.22).

That is roughly what most analyses say but I just can't make the words read that way. Perhaps there was a copying error a translation error at some time in the history of that passage.
