I wrote this to try help explain what the answer is from the perspective of the story of creation, as the very first story in the Old/New Testament explains the answer already then.
God made the world and it was a shell - completely empty with nothing inside it. He created the all the letters to describe everything in the world and when all possible letters were made that created the alphabet - the collection of all the letters. He made every possible word that can be created by use of the alphabet. The collection of the letters (making the alphabet) and every word it can ever create was "the word of God". Once "the word" was created, there was a vessel in place for life to be made by every word. As there was no other life besides God to make use of the alphabet, he created an environment for life to exist. Once he created the environment, this ended the creation of the world as it was then inhabitable for other life.
He created every possible living thing, with the final thing to have dominion and rule over all other living things the world. As God is the creator, the lord and the ruler, and the world was made in his likeness, it was necessary for this thing to be created to reflect this nature, and thus it is said that this thing was made in his image. This final thing is referred to as Adam.
Adam was given free will and was told his place in the world. Adam saw everything in the world and learned the name of everything in the world. All things in the world were made to be able to conceive and multiply, and all things are unique and with two versions to accomplish this - male and female. As all things are unique with two versions, it is impossible for a thing of another type to conceive and multiply with another type.
God removed his own rib from his own body to create the world. His rib was the shell of the world. As Adam was the ruler and made in his image, to make his companion God removed a rib from Adam to create his other type, as Adam was made in his own likeness. The world was made as God's wife, and Eve was made as Adam's wife. There was now a father and mother of all (God and the world), and in his likeness within the world there was a father and mother to have dominion of the world (Adam and Eve).
The only difference between God and Adam is that God has no creator and God owns the world whereas Adam has a creator and owns everything made by the creator.
As a result of this nature, the meaning of this difference is that God knows how all in the world sees as he owns it, whereas Adam only knows how he sees. Before God created the world, as like Adam only he knew how he sees, for God had no creator. As Adam was made in his image, it is such that only Adam knows how he sees like God was. As the world was created, Adam could not create the world because it was already created by God, and Adam would never be able to know how everyone sees within it.
Thus, God knows how he sees and how all in the world sees. Adam only knows how he sees and not how any other sees. Thus a defining difference that would forever be is that God the creator knows how all sees and all things of his creation only know how they see and no other.
All life in the world he created only know how they see and not how another sees. God is the ruler and the lord because only he will ever know how everyone sees besides himself.
If the things inside the world all see without knowing how others in the world see, then what would they be seeing in someone else? It can only be what they see in themselves.
Therefore:
The question - What do you see in someone else?
The answer - what you see in someone else is what you see in yourself.
Before the world was created by God there was only God.
What would God see in others if there was another? It would be what he sees in himself.
As there was no other before the world was made, the reason God made the world was so that question can have an answer for himself, and the world was made in the image of how he sees.
The reason nothing in the world can create is because creation was only necessary to answer that one question. As it was answered when God made the world, there is no question that exists that allows the world and all in it to create.
God therefore gives and the world receives.
The world can never give as it has nothing to give to God that he does not have already.
If you are a giver, you know how all sees as it is you who gives them their sight.
If you are a receiver, you only know how you see because your sight is given by the giver.
As all in the world are all receivers and none in the world can give to anything in the world, all we know is how we see and not how any other sees.
God is the giver and knows how all sees - the world and all in it are receivers and only know the sight we are given. When two receivers see each other, all they can see is what they see in themselves and not how the other sees, for we are not the creators of our sight - we are only receivers of it.
Complaints that people will see themselves as God(s) refers to people who do not know the answer. If they believe that they can know how others see then it is something that is impossible to begin with to do unless you are God himself. It is not a problem - the world is starting to see the answer and eventually so will they.
When the world sees the answer then there will be a change - a new age. It will be the first of its kind in the world and for the first time (and forever on from that point) there will be a commonground among every entity in the world.
The worst is over, and now people are starting to know the answer. Every entity will not know it for some time, but we are getting there. It isn't too far away from now.
