In a Japanese katana, it is the backbone or spine (the mune) of the sword that confers it with such fiercesome strength. It is not stronger than the rest of the blade; actually it is weaker, i.e. more malleable. Thus it will bend rather than break. The edge of the sword of course must be made with a harder type of steel so that it will hold a cutting edge. It's hard, but extremely brittle, and would snap in two in actual combat were the entire sword was made of it.

So remember, the hard edge steel gives you the fearsome cutting ability, but it is the soft, chewy center that gives you resliience and durability.

It reminds me of how a willow will bend in the wind and will be able to survive it.
But a big oak tree will crack and will be destroyed.

Sometimes the weaker are the stronger
and the stronger are the weaker

And, maybe, as with the sword, we need a bit of both.

So is Saintman saying he is the weaker part of the hard edge steel?

God created us. He forms, meaning creates.
Know what the problem is?
Did you ever notice how all of nature can be deformed?
Weird looking tomatoes, for instance.
It's because ole' split hooves gets into every act.
The big question is why God allows it.
But there's no answer to that - for now.
We'll find out when the time comes to know...

How about a quick lesson in what being meek means?
It doesn't mean what a lot of people think.
You may know already, but there are people reading along - I've been told.

The meek shall possess the land
Psalm 37:1-11

The meek
have a spirit of gentleness
and self-control
they have no malice in them
they are not mean to others
BUT
They are strong of character
Because they understand their worth is in God
They are resourceful
As Moses Numbers 12:3

They do not exploit others
They do not oppress
They do not seek vengeance
They are not violent
They do not seek power for their own purposes

They have emulated the nature of Jesus and learned from Him
Jesus was not weak, but strong
They are able to respond, as He did, to the needs of the weak and oppressed

THEY SHALL INHERIT THE LAND
Possessing the land signified more in the O.T. than just owning land, or a country (The Promised Land)
It signified a sense of place, a sense of belonging
It signified security = An inheritence from God / a place and security

Also understood to be The New Earth
It will not be inherited by the powerful and the cruel
But By The Meek.

We become meek by following the Holy Spirit.
