Hi all - I'm relatively new here but this site is full of lovely Christians from all walks of life who support each other, pray for total strangers' prayer requests, witness to new people on the site, and on and on.

Its unlikely any of us are going to meet in real life, but do you think we'll recognize each other in heaven?

I have talked over the phone and seen photos of stove bolts from his face book page. three members have sent me money in times of need, I have helped one not commit suicide and also I have talked to mike an one other over the phone.

I think there's no doubt about it that we'll know each other in Heaven.

I've met two people from this board in person...and phone friend with another.

I've wondered if the bible tells us about this, I hope we do know each other. The only thing is the verse that says 'the former things are passed away and will not be brought to mind.' But I think that was concerning pain, suffering etc. ??

We will have all of eternity to figure out who we talked to on this web site.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Luke 8:17 KJV

Yes, I do! Even the ones we dont lok haha!
What we bind here, will be bound in heaven. What we loosen here, is loosened in heaven.
What's the lesson? Might as well learn how to forgive here!

Well I don't lok anyone, and I like just about everyone here, so along with being with Jesus and all of my other loved ones, I think I will pretty much have it made. :wink

That's cause you aint got a mean bone in your body. A bit sassy on occation, but never mean lol!

I think you forgot the term smart aleck. :lol (It's spelled occasion by the way. :wink I am the grammar police after all remember? Lol!

I think we will meet and know many people in heaven that we know now or even those we never knew. If you ever wrote a book that lead someone else to be saved a I'm sure that in Heaven the two strangers could meet and celebrate with eachother on being saved. How much more could we all know each other after getting to heaven.

Tgat said there is one other thing to consider. Our times here is where we love one another and build each other up. But in Heaven we might be closer to God, and being near Him might be a bigger joy then finding each other. (Not to lessen the joy of seeing each other, but justctovadd yo it the greater joy of being nearer to God.) :)

I have mentioned to this before to Tessa, but it would be kind of cool if we could just hold up a gigantic sign with the name of the person you want to find on it like the airport. :lol

I think we will know each other as only being brothers and sisters in Christ as being surrounded by the brightness of God's glory I don't think much else will really matter anymore. In the New Jerusalem there is no marriage, Luke 20:34-36, so I don't think we will even know our own spouse. I'm not even sure if we will even look like ourselves as we look now.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Love all these responses and glad to see some of you are connecting in the "real world"!

I'm with you guys - I think we'll know each other, just not exactly sure how it will be. I think of it like God's original creation - in the record of it he saw that everyone was good and all Eve had to gain from eating that fruit was the knowledge of evil. I think it will be like that again one day - just the good and all the evil burned up. So we'll remember the good that God and fellow Christians did in our lives.

I also kind of hope that we're all wrong about Bible prophesy to some degree - whether we're pre-trib, mid-trib, no rapture at all. One day we'll see it all played out and be like "Oooohhh! so that's what it meant!" :lol

I'm sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree with you there on that one. I find it really hard to believe that once we both get to Heaven that Joey and I won't recognize each other.
