This Has Got to Stop

I thought about this when JohnDB was talking about how they're currently trying to rewrite history. My question is how can colored people truly appreciate how fairly they're being treated compared to back then, if the past is erased? What are they going to get next, get rid of the crucifixion story? (For the record I never even saw this movie before but I still think that it's ridiculous. :rolleyes)

Proverbs 16:1-4;

To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the proper answer of the tongue.

2 All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the LORD.

3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

4 The LORD works out everything to its proper end— even the wicked for a day of disaster.

See, we need not be concerned with what the world does.

The real problem is stereotypes.
Which means that when a group of people behave in a similar fashion you expect expect all members of that group to behave in a similar fashion.

And people living in inner cities are uncomfortable with their stereotypes. (Thugs)

I've worked with many people from inner cities as co-workers and apprentices. And yes, many were thugs. But when I dealt with them straight and fairly...they straightened up.
Sure, they got mad when I called them out on their BS. But I didn't waiver or flinch. And I got respect for it. They behaved and I showed them how to make a living....and snuck a little life advice in with it too. :biggrin2 (like making peace with God)

Now I will say that it is a bit uncomfortable when an inner city thug is shouting down others he sees as "messing with me" or being "disrespectful".
But...I did tell him later to be cool.... you don't get to be a grumpy old man by being a pushover.

But if the gubberment expects to gain respect...they need to stand their ground when righteous.

Not sure what you're trying to say, but the government doesn't seem to be doing a darn thing right now with all the chaos and rioting going on.

What's wrong with what I say.
I grew up in the projects in Boston.
There were blacks and whites together back in those days (50's and 60's).
But you step out of the projects into the nicer neighborhoods, and there was racism everywhere.
There was no law where black people could live, but they did not live in any of those neighborhoods.
All middle and upperclass white people.
No hispanics, no asians, just white people.

It all started real bad with desegregation.
A black football team from Roxbury came to Charlestown to play a high school football game.
As the blacks were getting off the bus, A sniper shot one of the players and killed him.
That's when the wars of blacks and whites began.
Desegregation?
Why didn't the first game between them send Charlestown to Roxbury to play the game?
This debate could go on forever in Boston.
But black people always lose.
whats wrong? every thing the past is past time for the future ,, see the BIG problem is there are whites and there are Blacks who keep racism alive . Black people do not always lose . all your doing is keeping the past alive .the last law man who shot a man in atlanta is going to be used as a example . every thing was cool to the point of placing under arrest for dwi .what i dont understand is why two cops could not bring him under control . the man should have been tasered the worst part is the man was shot in the back while running. while i am on the subject BLM is not about blacks .if it was they would be mad about the black law officers murdered.. the black gang members killing each other . BLM is a political ploy to rid cops

Sorry, I don't click on unknown links, but yeah the government! When are they going to start arresting these thugs and do background checks on so called police officers to see if they're actually worthy enough to wear a badge in the first place?

what ever they do there accused of racism AND POLICE BRUTALITY . the law should be told to put a stop to it.

I agree, but let's not turn this political as I think this thread is a good discussion and I really don't want it to have to close.

Okay, even though I'm not into football in the slightest, this has still got me wondering on when this will all end. :rolleyes
