This is a terrible evil

wondering,

I agree with the 'choice' position - generally. However, when children are at school who do not have, say, a measles vaccination, and they contract measles and pass it on to others who have not been vaccinated, what does that mean for the other unvaccinated children who are exposed to the measles virus?

My view is that parents should be given the options: (1) If you want to send your child to this school, the child must be vaccinated against these diseases ... (2) You could try another school that does not have this requirement; (3) You could home school your children.

Here in Australia, the government does not require vaccination in schools, but encourages vaccination and provides a free service to children and youth - with parental or guardian consent. See HERE.

However, it has been an issue this year that has attracted considerable publicity.

Well...
That y doesn't seem right.
That means you're never really retired.

17 yrs from now your money will be worth half as much...
Its always been that way.I don't loose in my case.case in point.i.get called back and do a year and retire.i make more money because if that extra year of retirement. In law was a retired marine e 8.recalled to do what he did which was run.a marine aviation unit.Boeing saw him there,he waa retired from them too and paid him.doubLe to come back and he spent two years in Iraq and went home making way more.he retired as an active duty marine!

It was hard not being called up for Irma .one of my fellow ncos and one I influenced was honored by the governor for being a great leader in helping those in the keys.

WHO: 1 in 10 medicines in the Caribbean substandard …T

This came as no surprise to me. It seems that Europe and North American has always been giving substandard supplies to countries they consider 3rd World.

I have visited the USA on two occasions and I have noticed a vast difference in the goods that they have for sale on their domestic market and the ones they have for their export market. One classic example is peanut butter. The quality in the USA is a different quality despite the fact that the producer is the same

Several years ago a type of fabric was sold in England and research showed that it contributed to skin cancer. You can guess all the material was shipped to Africa.
I asked myself how can these people sleep at night. It really shows that these folks are not interested in the wellbeing of people they do not consider on their level. The sad part is that no government seems to be able to have the courage to call these people out for what they are. Money changers and criminal. The love of money sure is the root of all evil. I would like to know if any of these manufacturers are Christians...but then it wont matter since these kind of folks sold slaves beat them to death and attended church each week. My prayer ....Come Lord Jesus
Why the surprise.
Health care isn't about making people well, it's about making money.

New York, NY, June 16, 2014—Despite having the most expensive health care system, the United States ranks last overall among 11 industrialized countries on measures of health system quality, efficiency, access to care, equity, and healthy lives, according to a new Commonwealth Fund report. The other countries included in the study were Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand Norway, Sweden Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. While there is room for improvement in every country, the U.S. stands out for having the highest costs and lowest performance—the U.S. spent $8,508 per person on health care in 2011, compared with $3,406 in the United Kingdom, which ranked first overall.

I enlisted twice and I still know not what that document said, I just obeyed orders.
After six times I read the extensions with bonuses each time.my initial one was the longest. I wish I could find a copy. It had the contract for the mos 19d whereas the others for the guard didn't list any mos.it showed my current mos and unit .the initial guard enlistment neither listed any mos schooling

What's a child care center?

See 'What are child care centres?'

My son and in wife live in the ACT (Canberra) and both of them work. They have 2 girls, aged 6 (Eloise) and 2 (Jemima). When both of them go to work, who takes care of Jemima. She goes to a child care centre all day until one of the parents can pick her up. Elli may need to go to a child care centre after school until a parent can care for her.

We live in a society with increasing debt, so both young parents go to work outside the house. If they have children, someone has to care for them when parents are unavailable.

The govt. provides some subsidy for child care because it wants as many people in the workforce as possible because of the income tax benefits.

It is due to competition. Because in certain places people have greater disposable income then that is where business sends it's products to consumers. When there is less disposable income people tend not to by items because the focus is on necessities. So, to offer a product to others the manufacturer may cut a product down to lower its costs.

This can happen not just internationally, I have bought cheaper frozen red barron pizza at walmart that was slim trimmings on toppings compared to the exact same pizza where I paid more at a high end super market. Depends, sometimes I would rather spend less and get less then spend more.

I have a lot of fighter pilots in my family. In that MOS you can be recalled back into service at any point up until the age of 65.

When a kid is 18 and signs on the dotted line they really have zero clue what they are signing up for.

There is a recruitment advertising by the Army right now aimed at kids comparing the Army to sports teams and making it look like a game. My father got killed in Vietnam. How do you think I view that commercial saying the enemy wants to take it's all and go home ? Seriously, someone in the pentagon needs to get punched in the face.

I understand. It's like the Nido over here.
I believe children from 1 yr and up can go there.
At 3 they call the care center something else, but it's the same idea.
There's a charge for this until the age of 3.
After that, children can go to Scuola Materna free of charge.
For all the same reasons you mentioned above.

I'm not sure what's going on in the states anymore. Been away too long.
When I was there, it had to be a private care center or nothing.
My son and daughter-in-law used private care centers but it would be because of their choice, in any case.

I doubt the govt over there provides free care.
I'll have to ask my son and find out. Also, it might be different in every state.

I understand that we live in a society and we need to protect ourselves from disease because if one child gets sick, others will also get sick. OTOH, I do feel our freedoms are slowly but surely being taken away from us. It seems that with every freedom we lose, we're told that it's for our own good. I just fear that one day the govt will control our lives even more than it does right now. And control it does. Freedom is an illusion.

[Despite having the most expensive health care system, the United States ranks last overall among 11 industrialized countries on measures of health system...

National health care provides better care for the majority in other industrialized countries, which is why they have better average stats. (Average stats mostly measure the majority.) The US system provides better care for the rich, partly accounting for the 20 year difference in longevity between the rich and poor in the US. The rich from around the world come here for super deluxe care.

Service inflation is way beyond the CPI, and health care is labor intensive. The CPI mostly measures machine made goods, subjective adjustments for quality, and the imaginary rent that homeowners don't pay themselves (homeowner's equivalent rent).

Thank for sharing, and for recognizing I wrote something.

wondering,

Child care is not provided free here, but is subsidised by the govt. It's available for children aged 0-13, but not in high school. See HERE.

Try watching a so called right leaning conservative argue over properties rights from agenda 21,while stating she wants local control over height restrictions.

Well there's is no movement to bring agenda 21 here and the irony is missed by her on buying land and building on it for use as you see fit.I have mixed feelings on zoning laws.

I agree with the recommendation for 3-5 year olds.
Before that leaves a big question mark for me and I'm happy I never had to make this choice.
Home care with a trusted family member would me my number one choice after, of course, the mother.

Gosh Jason,
I'm not sure what you're speaking of.
Did I bring this up???
