Brock,
Kiwidan means that in the Old Testament there were Covenants made between God and His people, whom He called Israel - you know, the Hebrews who then became known as the Jews.
In the O.T. God called Israel, "my son, Israel", because God spoke to Abraham and the Hebrews because He wanted them to be His special people who would make Jesus known to all the world through them.
So when God made a covenant, He would always say:
If you do this and this, I will bless you.
If you don't do this and this, you will suffer (curses).
This is because when we don't do as God teaches us, there are always consequences to suffer.
For instance. We're told that our body is the temple of God, so it's a good idea to respect it and not smoke.
But some people smoke anyway, and you know how sick they could get.
For your information, not all covenants (which are like a contract) had curses. Some had ONLY BLESSINGS.
The New Covenant, the one with Jesus which you and I are following has ONLY BLESSINGS.
So Kiwidan is speaking about those who do not follow God's commandments.
NO ONE follows all of God's commandments.
Keep your eyes on the Lord and praise Him that you have knowledge of God.
This is very much missing in today's world, which is why we have so many problems facing our society.
God bless you Brock.
