Mat 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
This seems to imply that God's will is always done in Heaven.
Rev 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.
Somebody could say:
"Sounds like the Prince of Peace cannot prevent war in Heaven any more than He does on Earth."
What say Y'all.
The war in heaven as spoken in the prophecy of Jesus (Rev 12:7) does not refer to the heaven where God dwells but to the seat of power of earthly governments.
Paul speaks of the third heaven. That is where God dwells. Then there is the second heaven or atmosphere of the earth. And finally, there is the first heaven where the seat of power of governments dwell.
The principalities, powers and governments are the heaven of the earth. And therefore “the earth” is representative of the common people.
Revelation is highly symbolic, and it is therefore necessary that the prophets of old must be brought to view to correctly understand Revelation. As the book is the spirit or mind of the prophets.
The book is also the prophecy of Jesus and does not speak of things of the past but of things to come.
Jesus is said to be a prophet like that of Moses. And Moses, as the other prophets, speaks of things that are to befall the Jews is the latter or last days. The day of the Lord. The day of recompense. The day of His wrath. The day of Jacob’s trouble etc.
Revelation speaks of the song of Moses and of the Lamb which is further reference to the prophecy of Moses as it applies to the last days or day of vengeance yet to come upon God’s people(the Jews) and the nations at the coming of Christ.
Deu 32:1 -
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Deu 32:2 - My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Deu 32:3 - Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Deu 32:4 -
He is the Rock, his work
is perfect: for all his ways
are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right
is he.
Deu 32:5 - They have corrupted themselves, *
their spot is not
the spot of his children:
they are a perverse and crooked generation.
* “their spot” is “the mark” of the beast.
The above scripture is the beginning of the song of Moses which is the judgments to come upon the rebellious people of Israel in the latter days of their existence before the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth. The heavens of whom are to give ear are the government and the earth the common people.
The war to occur in heaven occurs among the leaders and government of the people of Israel against other nations.
