"Are there, for example, creatures that are half-fish and half-amphibian or half-reptile and half-bird?"

Yep. More than that, are entire series of transitional fossils of the sort predicted by Darwin. Dr. Wise points out a number of them. And important new ones show up almost monthly.

But what's even more convincing is that we never see transitionals where there shouldn't be any. No mammals with feathers, no birds with gills. Just doesn't happen. And that is far more convincing that these many transitional series of fossils show descent.

And when the mechanism of heredity was worked out, genetic analyses gave us precisely the same phylogenies as those fossil transitional series did.

It's not the Bible that AIG is holding onto; it's their human-fallible interpretation of the Bible. They just don't want to admit that they might be fallible.
