How do you distinguish a trial from...I don't know...stuff that just happens? Or does stuff "just happen" once you're a Christian?

A "trial" is not what happens to just Christians; it is how a Christian handles what happens to everyone.

Trials and tribulations happen to Chrisitans as well as nonChristians.Romans 8:28 therefore all of our trials and tribulations as Christians have a divine purpose.God has a reason for them.

"Trials and tribulations" is just a fancy way of saying "life happens." It rains on the righteous and the unrighteous, so the only things I care to distinguish between are what I brought on myself, what happened just because that's life, and what someone else has done to me. Then I can learn and grow and (hopefully) move past these "trials and tribulations."

We are going to suffer down here on this earth just as Jesus suffered.Sometimes new Christians get disillusioned because they think once they give their life to God everything is going to be perfect or at least better. Not true.Satan came at me the hardest when I first became a Christian.
