Trolling

I would say a troll is one who posts repeatedly with "the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response."

:o ;) :P
Like being an athiest or agnostic constantly berating people with Christian values on a Christian forum.

It's one thing to join a Christian forum as a skeptic and ask alot of questions. It's another to join and post hundreds of comments with no intention of coming to Christ.
I agree. How dare we let others who don't believe as we do come in and converse with us. If only we could have our own little world where no one would question our beliefs or make us consider why we believe what we do or even if it's worth believing at all. [/sarcasm]

Using your reasoning we shouldn't even share our faith with unbelievers since we have no intention of becoming like them. Would you ever go to a non-Christians site and start posting Bible verses or trying to point out what you think their errors are?

You are totally mis quoting me and my position. Where do I say not to reach the lost?

My point being, there are some on this forum who have been here for a long time and are openly hostile to Christian values. It's much more than just debating an unbeliever. How long do you let these people persist so they influence weaker brothers and sisters and put their faith in doubt? Should a Christian forum give an agnostic/atheist a platform here to stear people away from faith? No, I don't think so. Yet I've seen it happening in more than one thread here from a handful of people very determined to misguide people and away from Jesus.

Yes, I would go to non Christian sites and post about Jesus. Because Jesus is right and they are wrong.

That's a bit of a double standard, don't you think? Why should you be able to go to an atheist site and post about Jesus because you think you are right and they are wrong, but not allow them to come to a Christian site and post what they think is right?

There are no absolutes, eh.
Free, it seems you are a little intoxicated on the kool-aide yourself. Perhaps the bible is right in that "a little leaven leavens the whole lump".

I really don't know what you are saying.

some here, free, seem to embrace anti-intellectualism. these people fear reading and learniing the counterarguament and not being able to persuaded by it.

yes there's a risk in association with the opposing view. but it's worth if we are strong in faith and in prayer we may win them over. besides the oppostie view has enable me to see why i believe what i belive.

I have a problem with the "you think" part, but that is another matter. :confused

I have posted about Jesus on other forums and even been banned at two of them for doing so. :shrug

Only in polite conversation when someone asks a question or religion comes up. Some site have clear double standards on the matter, but I don't THINK I'm right, I KNOW I am.

AoG is absolutely right though. Many frequent posters here are just antagonists and some even pretend to be christians. You know who you are.... :grumpy

Really...any evidence to back that up? Care to point out the "pretenders" for us. :)

It's not you Aero. ;)

Think....that a number of us are going to be seen as pretenders to another. No point in fueling a fire. This is not a marshmellow roast.

lost lamb good advice but on the comment that brian made earlier on the other forums, i suppose that's possible. i believe in using wisdom when i talk to others that are of the opposite pov, as they may not want to hear the truth (i'm talking about sinners, not politics). some only mock the lord, then we should stand up say our peice and leave it at that.

Who's doing what?

I'm just stating how I see it. :shrug

Think trolling is the least of the problems on this board.....think the attitudes with which we speak to one another however, is the bigger issue. This board is so full of hate anymore....cannot have any form of opinion without childish name calling....it is sad.....this site used to be welcoming....

Now you're slinging that word around, hate. I have not seen hate on thos board at all.

Slinging words around...now that is just my point...I do not see as you do. So I have to be wrong....man these boards just...forget it...I am not going to even go there. It is just better to leave well enough alone. Naturally you will think what you will, which is fine. You are entitled to your opnion.

Oh, I have. It's all over the Current Events forum. Some posters inferring that others will burn in hell for supporting certain view points or people or not supporting others. It really is sad. Ask a question that someone doesn't agree with or that makes them think you are this or that and all civility is thrown out of the window.

I could take the time to go through and find many hateful posts, but I won't as I am reminded that love keeps no record of wrongs (1 Cor. 13:5). We should focus on repenting of any hate or prejudice and move forward, forgetting what is behind (Philippians 3:13).

this is even being counterproductive here as well. lets agree to stop the isanity on this forum, are there no christians here, that know and preach and love the lord. i know that they are some that love the lord openly here. let's endeavor to follow the example at the cross, as we cant change the hellbent world without the love of christ on the cross and we dont set the policies that run america anyway.
