The minting cost of each coin is +/- 25 cents

I believe to coins are being sold for $25.00 dollars each.

You do the math

the u.s. mint is. not printing the coins.

trumps did use 2 dollar bills and had it colorized and added his image by,another mint since the u.s mint doesn't colorize money or make the 2 dollar bill.

coin series on other things aren't uncommon .

I'm not even a fan of this but lets be real plenty of other coinage that is collectable includes other long dead presidents or persons to be honored .

Fool’s gold most likely

and fiat money given to the public in the form of ss or any private account is magically better

the u.s dollar is based upon 28 trillion of debt ,why tax when not even all the money of the wealthy would fund the programs Congress loves to fund

ffiscal spending is a problem for both parties .

I don't anticipate getting social security ,if i do it won't be much .2035 is the dooms year as it will be when I'm 62 and it won't fund 70 percent of the current persons believed to believe alive then.

but we can always tax more ,raise the age and borrow to fund that .no easy solution but its immoral to force my,grandkids to be taxed heavily to fund the very person who they can simply live with and support .

I waited until I was 67 before collecting SS benefits. For the last several years I have been getting $2,210.00 +/- deposited in my bank account every month.
just saying it like it is

and I pay taxes on my wifes amount on social security and as my mother who retired back in 2004 on their ss, my parents have owed most of the time they have been retired my dad is disabled and mother retired and took my advise and sought to ask a person who specialised in investing. she after her insurance is taken out makes more on that then i do when i worked three jobs . yet they arent millionaires. just middle class. retirement funds are taxable either before you invest in them(ira) or after 401 series, pension plans are taxed after.

many dont make that amount and if you made that amount you likely also pay taxes. or have other then just ss, 24 grand a year in my state wouldnt even have you pay rent and have much to afford(medicare is taken out of your ss check) if you didnt own a house and pay it off.

70 sounds fair to wait for full benefits? 75?do you really want to work that late? some like my mom and a few others do so because they want to or must. both i know.

i dont see myself reading meters and walking miles like i do at 55,let alone 65. not all can simply go to school and be hired. like it or not as my dad warned me about ageism, it may be illegal but yes it goes on. my job wont hire a person that age because there is no well just put him on short routes only. we got rid of a man because he(heart health) couldnt walk that length. i have routes where if i choose i can walk all of it out and im known for it and some are ten miles in the walk or more. i had routes that are square shaped and are next to each other and i walk the north one out fully in three hours, the other i finish in 4 and i move the truck but i have walked that out once and not in the summer will i bother doing that again, two miles or more back to the truck! yeah try that with arthitic hips or other issues, aint happening!

I would do the math, if I had the rest of the cost of packaging and advertising and shipping and handling as well as storage and insurance for building in which they are stored and the labor, insurance, and overhead it takes to get each coin produced and distributed to the end user.
