More towards the OP...
America is obviously ordained by God as well as blessed.
The Declaration of Independence was signed by religious leaders. Not everyone who signed the thing was a doctor or lawyer...but ALL had a minimum of a Seminary degree complete with their own Latin to English translation of the Bible. (Except for Benjamin Franklin...he was uneducated in post-secondary education and instead was more of a printer's apprentice...he printed books and newspapers)
13 colonies...
13 is one of the unique numbers in the Bible...it's usually a symbol for Jesus. Joash's High Priest advisor lived for 130 years...6 (number for man) and 7(divine completeness) come together to form a prime number.
Plymouth Rock...
The "pilgrims" we usually refer them in Church as missionaries. Yes, there was religious persecution in Europe as everyone was trying to show how they were more tough on sin than their neighbors...but these missionaries we're trying desperately to preach the gospel to the indigenous people here....and South America was heavily being colonized by Spain and Portugal. (They were building cathedrals when the first log cabins were being built)
Then during the World Wars American influence was huge...and propelled us to super power status....and eventually to the economy that drives the world.
America has the largest economy but only uses about a Quarter of the energy Supplies...contains a quarter of the people...but feeds 60% of the world's population.
Obviously we have gained God's attention with military might and financial advancement and food.
Religious ferver permeates all areas of our society (to the consternation of the ACLU) from the Ten Commandments on the SCOTUS Courthouse to Black's Law Dictionary to the diverse denominations that make up our citizens. Churches are everywhere.
