So it looks like you and I probably agree then. Some regulations are good, some are so-so, and some are unnecessary or even counter-productive.
That's why simplistic slogans like "roll back regulations" are meaningless without clearly saying what specific regulations the person thinks need to be rescinded.
Funny thing too about your local examples, near where I live one of the local radio stations often has conservative politicians and candidates on and I'm often amused by how many of them go on and on about things like abortion, foreign aid, international relations, etc., while barely speaking at all about the local issues they're actually supposed to be working on!
One of these days I'm gonna call in and say "You do realize that you have zero say in State or National policies, right? Now, tell me what you're going to do about the terrible roads, lack of infrastructure, and other local issues that are within your authority to do something about!"
