We live in a fallen world. I have a label of schizophrenia. Not everyone can keep up in the ray race, but that doesn’t mean we are inferior.

This is a good question. Sometimes, when it comes to such things, I'm not sure we'll ever have the 100% answer, but I do know this...
Before Adam and Eve disobeyed God, there was no illness, suffering, pain, and there was certainly no death planned for Adam and Eve as far as we knew. It tells us in the book of Genesis that creation was "good."
When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, it allowed sin into our world. Everyone on this Earth right now is living in a fallen creation.
When sin came into our world so did suffering and illness. Further down the line, there have come a million things that people are telling us to avoid for our health now...heavy metals, chemically sprayed foods, overly processed products, and the list goes on and on. We're seeing more people that are ill or have something that isn't working right with their body.
There are some things that doctors believe cause autism and then the other half that disagree and this goes in circles all the time, but the rate of autism keeps going up, not down.
Is it not possible for God to have every intention of creating a healthy baby, but something happens along the way that is caused somewhere from the DNA we get from mom and dad, to what mom and dad may have wrong with their body and perhaps not even know it, or from something that mom is coming across in her pregnancy (a medication, something in the air/water/ground/in her home, etc)? I'm certain it happens and that it's not God's fault alone.
Can God not take a person that's broken physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually and turn it into something magnificent? A lot of people out there seek God's will and then you get people out there that are believers and become motivational speakers yet suffer from an unknown genetic disorder or an illness or other disorder that has made their life challenging. Some of the most motivational speakers I have come across didn't have an easy life at all. Many of them had health struggles or made poor life choices. God can use our weakness to shine through us.
It doesn't only stop at illness, though. There's natural disasters, financial woes, broken justice systems, and more that cause suffering.
Our world will continue to be broken until God completes His judgement and there's a New Heaven and New Earth as we hear a lot about that will happen one day.
I do hope that my post makes some sense =) I tend to ramble.

Hello and welcome. I don’t believe God made you autistic. Gods image is much deeper than that.
There is a natural order of things and God put those things in motion, but everything in motion has limits. For example, God separated the land from the sea and the natural order of things shows us that hurricanes and floods are a natural occurrence. When a flood occurs and loss of property or life occurs, it’s not Gods active role that causes these things so we ought not assign blame or glory to God when these things occur.
In the same way, God did not cause your autism anymore than God caused my birth defects or anyone else’s. They are simply part of the natural order of life.
Some may say, “it’s not fair”. That’s simply playing the victim on matters we have / had no control over and fixating on this is unhealthy and only brings our spirit down. There are a lot of things that aren’t fair in life and Gods word teaches us how to navigate those difficulties without loosing our joy.

You speak of your autism as something less than normal. Maybe people in our society tend to define you in those terms but it doesn't have to be. God's definition of "His image" is probably quite different from ours.
When I was growing up some 50+ years ago, our family was very close to another family in our small town. One of the boys in that family was my age and he had Down Syndrome. He is and always has been an inspiration to anyone who comes into contact with him. Very loving and a true Christian to the core. I don't see him much anymore but even though it might be years since we last saw each other he will always introduce me to others as, "This is my friend."
Consider Pastor Nick Vujicic. He was born without arms or legs and yet nothing in life slows him down. I saw him preach in person once and to say he was inspiring doesn't even come close. Here's a link to a 60 Minutes episode when they featured him.
Or how about Kaylee Rodgers, an autistic girl singing Hallelujah.

I see everyone else has said pretty much all there is to say. But yeah, we all pretty much have defects, some more significant than others. It's a part of the curse over the world.
For instance, I was born with a lazy eye and had to have treatment for it my entire childhood to keep it from developing into blindness later on in my life.

I already suggested reading the Bible slowly. There's a reason for that. I read or listen to the Scriptures all the time. I get together on Tuesday mornings with a group of about 6-8 guys and we read from the Bible and discuss what we've read. I get together with a group of Gideons on Saturday mornings and we read Scripture. At 64 years old, it seems I am always learning more all the time. The learning never stops. Even the gospel of John says this....
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

Multiple readings would be a good idea. Do your hyperfixation and then take more time later to go over things more slowly

Yeah! They can be. I would always make sure scripture is treated as the authority - ie if a study Bible says one thing and the actual scripture says another, the scripture is correct. But yeah! Study Bibles are good aids

Another thing: there is much of the Bible for which it's important to know some stuff about the historical context in order to understand properly. A study Bible would probably help with this, as they tend to have notes about stuff like that.

I don't think anyone fully understands the Bible tbh - not even people who go to college or seminary to study it on an academic level. You have a community here you can talk to about stuff you may be confused about. There are also a lot of resources that are meant to help. It's going to be a learning process, but that's ok.
