Walking the Walk

Re: reply

Golf
Thats an amazingly good post and could not agree with you more.
I am still working on finess, as I would have named the denominations. :-D

Hi everyone, I was reading in another thread, and MR V. used a Scripture I thought applied to "walking the walk". Jack, I think it speaks to what you have written here....

In America, I believe that we have done a bad job of evangelizing to the lost, and many churches will not do follow up. We kind of have lost our first love. I do not have all the answers, but the biggest problem I see is that we have anti-christ evil spirits very busy in these last days.

Galations 5:13-18

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

The Lord bless all of you

Lord with praise and worship, yet later I see them buying a case of beer at 7/11 after Church.
now tell me were in the bible does it say you cant drink? or go out dancing...
but before you start to say something against me hold on one second

i understand that things such as beer and clubs usually imply getting drunk and having sex with anyone you find but don't say that the whole thing is wrong and evil just because some people do it thats judging a whole crowd on the actions of a few. for example thats like saying all muslims are scuicide bombers witch we all know is wrong because killing is against the muslim religion just as in christianity

also i just read in a post about pornography
now what is wrong with porn.. pardon the shorthand... i am not a pervert but were in the bible does it say you cant look at pornography.. i understand that porn usually leads to other things that are sinful but were does it say its evil. if i am wrong and there is a bible verse about it then i am sorry

MorgWolfsong,

We are the salt of the earth, do you seriously believe a Christian bought by the Holy Blood of our Lord and Savior should be at a club, drinking and living as the world does? Even if it was for one night? Sorry I don't compromise my faith or my integrity to live for Christ. Others may disagree, I stand firm in my faith and my actions will show it. I take my cross up daily.
I'm not saying drinking is wrong (going to hell) type stuff, not at all. Please don't pre-judge me either. What I am saying is there are to many people professing their faith and not walking in it. Labor day, sure I had a beer, ONE BEER with my Bar-B-Que, but did I spend my money on it? NO. Did I get intoxicated? NO. Did I want to get intoxicated? NO. But going out to a club to pick up the ladies and drinking hoping to get your "groove" on etc etc is living in the world.. There is no compromise.

And yet I did not approach her at 7/11 and afterwards I was convicted in my spirit because I saw and did nothing, but minded my own business.
ARGH :smt102

It is never too late to pray for her. In fact, I believe that she will come under a ton of conviction if you take it to the Lord and let Him deal with her first ~ then be willing to be part of the solution at a later time, if God directs you to do so.

Praise God for your sensitive spirit! :D

all i am saying is going to a club to dance isnt evil or wrong but doing unsavory things at a club is a differnt story. and as for drinking a beer here and there is actualy good for ya but i never said that getting drunk wasnt wrong just drinking ocasionaly isnt wrong

not close im only 16 years old.. but im not the stereotype who complains all the time goes to parties gets drunk and gets high... i dont smoke dont drink i find smoking wrong for many reasons and drinking isnt something i want to do untill i am old enough but even when i can i wont get drunk.
Also i have never been to a giant party with a hundred people drinking and smoking

You sounded young..

Well that's good, stay close to God and follow His path. Decrease so He may increase in your life.

I wont judge but i'd just guess its because i dont follow the Bible to the letter and dont like the fact that parents own their children?

Gabbylittleangel,
Praying a a strong very useful tool we have as Christians, thank you for your support and kind words. God Bless

Do you attend a church regularly?
Does your church have a youth group and youth pastor?
I am concerned about you. 16 is a very tough age. I remember it well. High school, was tough being a Christian. I can't imagine how tough it would be now with the internet and its temptations, even regular TV is not safe anynore, the music that people listen to is nasty. Look, I know I am stranger and you don't know me from adam, but listen young grasshopper. Don't give into the worlds temptations. Get involved with a bible based youth group. Spare yourself years of drama. Be an example that is pleasing to the Lord. I wish I would have been, butg sadly was not. Anyway I have prayed for you and will continue to do so as the spirit leads and reminds me to.
Blessings young friend
Javier

thank you for your prayer but only a few things

i don't attent church as often as i should for i have lost faith in the church structure.. i believe in god and in the lords house but... the human servants who work in the house of the lord are not to be trusted. For example my pastor once said we have all the money we need but you haven't given it to us yet.

also about a youth group.. i am sorry but i find the whole term youth group demeaning as if a place to dump younger members of the community. i have honestly noticed that many of my friends at my age have better views and policies on religion then their parents or even ministers.

the music that people listen to is nasty.
That is your opinion about the music but... i personally cant stand the christian "versions" of modern music.. christian rap is just horribly misplaced and christian rock is just as strange
i happen to like rap i am sorry to say.
For example ever heard of Tupac Shukur?
he was a great man he had many books of poetry and many good songs.. not all of his songs were "nice" as you would say but he was a great man and it was a tragedy when he was slain.

and while yes 16 is a tough age i have learned something from my adventures the only person who can truly teach you is yourself. i believe that God gave us freewill and intelligence so we could interpret the bible how we see and please God how we think he would want to be served.. but that is merely my opinion

but as i said before thank you for your concern and prayer
