there is no theory on the atonement it is facts . the blood atonement/ payment for our sins is not something to debate. we either accept it by faith or we dont . the Bible says with out the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins .we go back to the garden adam and eve understood they was naked due to sin. God made clothing from animal skins the first Blood atonement. i would hope as true blue born again Christians .we could agree on the Blood atonement .the death burial and resurrection of Christ peter writes

And in Christianity its "about the Son" not "about the prophet Jesus"

then odds are possibility never saved..some use the term fire insurance .which could a possibility also . here is what should be examined -------WHAT are we doing the lady in mark Gospel broke open a alabaster box of ointment . many had a fit saying what a waste of money etc..she poured it out on Christ head symbolizing his death . Christ told those complaining let her alone she has done what she could ..so what are we doing ? :shock

You bring up one of the problems.
Who are WE to say if a person is saved or not?
The problem, as I see it, is that THEY THINK they're saved (those who you say were never saved to begin with).

So, wouldn't you agree that they're living in a false state of confidence and their very salvation is at stake?

IOW,, If someone THINKS they're saved....they will not seek salvation.

Who are WE to say if a person is saved or not?

same way as saying osas in false when both sides presents valid points.. a tree is known by the fruits it produces and yes imo these days many have head salvation

If by head salvation you mean not TRUE salvation,,then I agree with you.

But yes, this is a FALSE sense of security based on what some churches are teaching these days, and I think it's a VERY DANGEROUS teaching.

I've spoken to persons that are mean and very non-Christ-like and yet they tell me THEY are saved because they're trusting in Jesus and I'M LOST because I believe in obedience and this takes away from the work of Jesus.

This boggles my mind.

both sides cannot be right.
Verses have to be reconciled to the entire N.T.
God is not verses....
God is a holy being.

Sure...and some will be lost due to their THINKING that they're saved.

Maybe God will hold the teacher responsible and not the student...

When people start calling Bible doctrines "theories" that should be a red flag. God does not present us with theories but with divine revelation.

i cant answer that i am not the judge if that be the case where does the Mormons j.w the rest stand .i can only say teachers/preachers stand the greater judgement . somethings we consider wrong in line of doctrines is out of our hands
