we are much more than we think

I find that a reassuring comment in my times of low self esteem. of course it is also dangerous to think we might be greater than we appear. The guy who killed over 40 Muslims in NZ night have interpreted it like that.
If we are children of God, made in His image, that makes us great, doesnt it?
Humble Soul sometimes finds it hard to be humble.

Sometimes it takes being humbled before you are humble in your nature. Sometimes it comes from pain and sorrow. Loss sometimes brings compassion to others wherever they are. Though compassion is different humility it overlaps so much they are usually together.

Hope, love, and faith are said to never go away. But love is the greatest of those three. And I think humility is part of what it is to be loving.

That said, if you have the faith to see yourself as a child of God, even through low self esteem, then that is a wonderful gift. Don't forget it humble soul. That kind of faith is a true treasure.

Like I said, that kind of faith is a real treasure. When
I get to my low points, I don't se myself as a child of God. I have to hope that I am still, and hang onto that hope. But nonetheless in those times I see myself as something worse then just lost. Instead something God and everyone else should throw away. I have to hold onto hope inspite of my thoughts. If you don't have that struggle, then that is a wonderful blessing of faith.

It's the lowly of heart that can humble themselves before the Lord as a lowly heart can be better established in the Lord building up their faith in Him.

You, me and those who are truly Christ own have all humbled ourselves before Him as we have all in our own unique ways have come to Christ. You are much more than what the world could ever judge you in as you are a child of the most High God of all creation.
