We Shall See The King

I love that song! Wish I could pass it along to our music director/pianist, but she just resigned due to burnout a couple of weeks ago. :-( Her playing style is exactly like this when she is allowed to let loose!

Actually, now that I think of it, she had the perfect voice and attitude to sing this too! I miss her already.

If she is still in attendance, give it to her any way and if she does as a special or at a Fifth Sunday Sing, make an mp3 copy and email it to me, I have never been able to get a ladie to do this number with feeling.

She hasn't been seen since the day she resigned, but I downloaded it anyway and will save it for an opportunity. I think she could be one of the few female voices that could do it and if not, we have others that could. She didn't sing often, but this is one that I think she would put feeling into. It's her style. She has a pentecostal background too, so she may even already know the song since it's from a Pentecostal hymnal. And her style, voice quality, and tone is perfect for it too, much like yours is. But right now everything is in limbo. :-(

My prayer is that she returns. I downloaded the n umber you linked and she does have a great style. I do that number just as she does it there. I do it with a faster tempo and out of measure. With that background she surely has heard it sang the way it was originally written.

Actually the link was a guest worship team that was taking her place one Sunday only, not our usual people. But I hope she returns as well.

I'm wondering if anyone is interested in classical music. I play French horn, also have an education in conducting. I love big, brassy classical religious works ,such as the Verdi Requiem, especially "Dies Irae, " Mahler Symphony No. 2, "The resurrection," etc. The cool thing is that you can go to youtube and watch live performances, all for free.

Since I sang C&W and the Blues on stage you might not believe it but I love Classical, I, just, will not try to do what the Beatles did to some Classical. I have much to much respect for the Masters for that.
