[__ Science __ ] What about the Origin of the Solar System and the Planets?

even with that ,you don't see them, thinking God has bowels, genetalia.

imagery ,if Jesus has, body of flesh in heaven ,then how he omnipresent ?
or is he the seven eyed ,seven headed literal lamb that died for our sins ?

or Him who sat on the throne, the ancient of days ?

answer all of that .
does scripture say God has a physical body?

to say so goes beyond the literal meaning

He is Father and a "HE" - that is enough to say He is a male without a body

hebrew grammar addresses God as "ATA" "you" in the masculine form

exodus 24:10

having a shape implies a body .

a vision but none the less .

I'm just saying you can't take ,logically, that God is male and has gender literally then say that he doesn't in fact have a body when it describes that he. does .

remember most female Gods and male ones all had offspring in their myths ,they reproduce.

the use of male makes no memtion of that ,it is totally different ,while I agree you can argue a male pronoun but he can't have a gender like we do .

how does a being beyonds words describe his nature fully?

:thumbsup
evolution ignores the fact God made the original time space matter and quantum jump to evolution created life

facing the origins of time space matter would show them God didn't need millions of years - He created everything with a word - pretty awesome God we serve
He certainly is.

If Jesus Christ doesn't have a body of flesh in heaven, you have no place there either. Which would you prefer?

Jesus body of flesh doesn't affect His omnipresence. Just like Jesus body of flesh didn't restrict Him from going through walls. (John 20:19)

You can believe the Bible and can take it that God is male.

Why can't God have a gender like we do? Especially since Adam was created in the image of God?

Well, you don't believe the words God has given us in the Bible. Why should you believe any others to describe His nature fully?

amen - so in jewish thought it MIGHT be like this if a person considers all layers of interpretation of this specific scripture:
  • Peshat (פְּשָׁט‎) – "surface" ("straight") or the literal (direct) meaning.[1] - GOD HAS A FORM
  • Remez (רֶמֶז‎) – "hints" or the deep (allegoric: hidden or symbolic) meaning beyond just the literal sense. - A BODY TOO PEREHAPS?
  • Derash (דְּרַשׁ‎) – from Hebrew darash: "inquire" ("seek") – the comparative (midrashic) meaning, as given through similar occurrences. - DOES HE HAVE HANDS AND FEET? - WHAT KIND OF A BODY? - DOES HE EAT?
  • Sod (סוֹד‎) (pronounced with a long O as in 'lore') – "secret" ("mystery") or the esoteric/mystical meaning, as given through inspiration or revelation. - ARE WE HIS HANDS AND FEET? - DOES HE NEED US TO REPRESENT HIM ON EARTH?

who knows .

if he did mean to be a he as he is a male .my puny mind can't understand it

true - but if you read scripture and have to figure out if God is male or female just by what is written in scripture i would say scripture makes it pretty clear He is male - what in scripture would make anyone think He is female or even neuter?

true - and some questions aren't critical to having a relationship with God - they are simply interesting and entertaining

i don't think those here on this thread implying the opposite of what ever God has a gender is calling God the same as ishtar.

female gods are usually violent ,and require human blood

oh ,because he being omnipresent
i agree that because He is everywhere at the same time He doesn't have a human male body

angels have spiritual bodies but even angels can't be everywhere at the same time - only God can do that

i agree - God clearly said there are no other gods - He alone/ONLY is God - He also said no one and nothing compares to Him -

interesting the ancient female gods demand blood/death? - God is the Creator/Giver of life

God has a very good reason to call Himself Father and a "HE"

He made adam male and then took woman out of adam - interesting - why create adam in His image as a male and then take a woman/female out from a male?

Chava ,it means by side or from my side .

evolution ignores the fact God made the original time space matter and quantum jump to evolution created life

That's a very common misconception. Evolution is not about how life began. It assumes living populations and describes how they change.

God doesn't operate on human expectations of time. So if He chose billions of years to His purposes, it doesn't matter at all.
