A very intelligent, slightly insecure European.
I love it when I nail it.:toofunny :biglol
Target shooting and hunting. I also load my own ammunition from spent brass. Not only does it save very much money over buying factory ammunition, but it is easy to tailor specific loads to guns so that they perform and shoot very much better than factory ammo. I can load some ammunition that is impossible to buy in the store. Nothing illegal, just loads that are unavailable. It's fun to experiment and is highly interesting and there are lots of small details to attend to. Al little bit of mad scientist is in me, bwahahahaha! lol. It is also very satisfying to hunt Deer with homemade handloads. My son killed an Elk with one of my handloads, and I've taken two Deer with handloads that were also sporting my very own homemade cast lead bullets. That was very satisfying!
I also cast my own lead bullets with old lead from plumbing drainlines and used wheel weights from auto shops. Many times the biggest cost in loading ammo is the cost of the projectile. Casting your own brings the cost of the bullet down to one or two cents, including the cost of the gas or electeric to melt the lead! I can load 38 specials and 45 automatic for less than the cost than I can buy 22 LR ammo! It costs about 7 dollars to buy a 100 CCI 22s, and I can load 38s or 45s for about 4 to 5 dollars per hundred using cast lead bullets!
Plus, I'm a pretty good Chess player.
I've killed two elk with my husbands reloads. I shoot a Browning .243, used to shoot a Remmington 7mm (got to heavy for my shoulders all day long).
I don't hunt deer anymore.
I'm good at eating sugar... and sleeping a lot.
