Same Disease, by Red

This song really does sound like it's supposed to be about sin:

questdriven:

Could be, yes.

And, after the first 13 or 14 seconds there's some real hard rock, too.

Blessings.

..I especially like the songs Glass House ..

questdriven:

Yes, well, Glass House seems to have an interesting tune, and starts off as a kind of melodious, easy listening type of track; the lead singer is somewhat restrained in his voice, also, and though there are a few hard rock-seeming chords, the whole is almost more soft rock, really, I guess.

(Two cents'.)

What do you think of Red's Die For You? What message do you think it intends to give?
I know you hate me
I never meant to make you feel this way
I feel so betrayed
I never thought I could feel condemned
I never thought I could feel all your sin

(Chorus)
I can feel your madness now
I can feel your fire now
It's what I burn for
It's what I bleed for
I would die for you

You know I'd die for you

(Verse)
I feel exposed, I feel disgraced
I feel a whole new kind of hate
Someone please tell me what I'm supposed to do
'Cause you hate me but I love you

(Chorus)
I can feel your madness now
I can feel your fire now
It's what I burn for
It's what I aim for
It's what I bleed for
I would die for you

I can feel your madness now
I can feel your fire now
It's why I'm breaking down
Ain't coming back around
Now I'm telling you
I would die for you

You know I wish I didn't feel this way
I ain't gonna change

(Chorus)
I can feel your madness now
I can feel your fire now
It's what I burn for
It's what I aim for
It's what I bleed for
I would die for you

I can change to better right
I could feel your fire now
I can feel your fire now
It's why I'm breaking down
Ain't coming back around
Now I'm telling you
I would die for you

You know I'd die for you

BTW, couldn't find a link to Red's Die for You. (Kept getting mixed up in the search, with another band.)

But the words seem good.

Blessings.

Would you say they intend to convey a Christian message? It makes me think of Jesus and how He took on all of the sins and guilt of the entire world while He was on the cross.

questdriven:

It reminds me of the general imagery of the cross and sin.

I'm not sure who is supposed to be speaking in these verses, though. Do you?

Blessings.

(PS: Is it really hard rock in style? sorry I couldn't find it.)

Jesus, perhaps? Seems to be indicated by what's said in the song. But then, I'm sure it could be argued that that's not the case.

It's hard rock.

It's hard rock.

questrdriven: Some of it does sound as if it is intended to convey the words of the Lord Jesus, yes.

Not sure about the line: 'You know I wish I didn't feel this way', though.

Hard rock? Yes. You really do seem to like this vigorous style, anyway.

Blessings.

Sigh, l used to be able to play the Bells of Moscow on the piano but that was 50 years ago.

Carolyn: I know what it's like to play the piano hardly at all for years and then to try to go back to doing it. My wife is the pianist, but she also realize the practice it takes, really. Blessings.

Listening to some computer game music of a game I was totally addicted to and in love with, but quit playing last year.
Now I'm still here listening to its music and feeling nostalgic and homesick.

You guys talk so much about Skillet that I had to punch em up on youtube and listen to them. These guys rock! I'm listening to Awake and Alive right now...[Head bang smiley]

Is that a girl on the drums?
Gotta love Skillet!

I believe so.

questdriven:

Jen Ledger, maybe? I haven't seen any videos just recently.

Blessings.
Might be her. There was also a drummer they had several years back that is no longer part of the band, and that one was a girl as well.
