What are you listening right now?

Now this is a metal (or hard rock?) song that's great for worship. At least, it works for me. :) I like how the person who posted the lyrics put verses under them, too.

questdriven:

Some good lyrics.

I think it could probably be adapted for congregational use. (Mind you, the percussion that sometimes almost drowns out the lyrics would probably need to be at least diminished if it were to be used for congregational singing.)

Blessings.

Okay people, so: when you're recovering from 'flu, don't you think plain silence kind of works well? (not the Simon and Garfunkel variety of silence....)

Invisible, by Disciple

questdriven:

Some good hard rock. Clearly supposed to be the Lord Jesus speaking to the sinner, calling on him or her to trust Him.

Disciple sounds a lot like Skillet and Red, don't you think?

Blessings.

Similar. I'm going to look into more of their songs. I want to buy the "O God Save Us All" album, since I like several of the songs from it.

This song by Skillet has a similar message to that song:

Thanks for the info. I think you clearly like a hard rock medium to the message, right?

Yes. It's mainly the message that I like, but the song just wouldn't be the same set to a different style.

Yes, as discussed a bit also on another thread just now, there's a lot of impure material in the hard rock scene, but with these Christian bands there's a hard rock medium holding to a pure message, right?

So one can be a hard rock-inclined person, but holding to a pure message. (What I would also add is that it's always good to try to make sure the message has a good measure of accurate, doctrinal content.)

Blessings.

Yeah. Christian hard rock isn't hard to come by, and I guess it's becoming more popular.

I do like some secular songs and even casually like a couple secular hard rock bands (Crush 40, Breaking Benjamin). But I make sure the song has a good message, otherwise I leave it alone.
It's not hard. There's plenty to choose from.

There is like one song I can't help but like that had some swearing...there's a "clean" version, but all they did in that version was make the swear words hard to decipher. They're still there.

You said your mom even bought you a Red CD, so she might be coming round a bit, too.

Blessings.
