what are you listening to right now?

As I burn,
As I break,
I can't take it anymore
I return to the place,
Where the water covers over everything.
Rescue me some how

Hold me now,
'Til the fear is leaving,
I am barely breathing
Crying out
These tired wings are falling,
I need you to catch me

I'm listening to a guy who could have been Alice Cooper - 'cept Roger Rose performed as an overtly Christian musician where Alice (Vincent, actually) kept his faith in the background for decades.

Here he is, with his group "Mad at the World" with his most "Alice-Cooper-ish" recording ever, IMO:

To this day, I tear up when I LISTEN to his words....

Cold is my tomorrow
Clouded is my sight
Sorrow in my spirit Windswept to the night
In my dream, it never would end this way
I woke up alone on my judgment day

All the times I could have Opened up to God
All the things they told me Buried under sod

In my dream it never would end this way
I woke up alone on my judgment day

Then He opened a book He called "Life"
To place where my name should be
Then He closed it & He started to cry
He said "You never knew Me".

I know that this sounds just Like a fairy tale
That's the way that I felt Now I live in hell
In my dream it never would end this way
I woke up alone on my judgment day

Ha! I was just reliving the good 'ol days and listening to the previews of various MATW releases on iTunes. I have several of their releases on cassette. I ended up purchasing one song off their first release, "All the Lonely Sheep." Very good lyrics on all of their stuff. Tempted to buy some more, especially with this song going through my head.

That is so sad :sad

Listening to Jeff Beck now. I saw him and Jennifer Batten and the House of Blues in New Orleans about 20 years ago. Best concert I ever attended. There's no denying this guy and Jennifer are rock-n-roll geniuses. ;)

Starflyer 59. One of the most underrated bands. This is from their new album coming out later this month:

.
And some believe the scene featuring James Brown’s church on the Blue’s Brothers film was a fabricated form of Christianity. Compare the two videos below.

OKAY!
Now that's what I call MUSIC!

Jeff Beck is one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Thanks for posting.

Wondering

Can't agree with it.
Many believe this.
