What cell are you using

When my 12-year-old 'dumb' cell phone unexpectedly expired, I had to replace it with a nuisance of a 'smart' phone. It's a Samsung.
You had a cell phone for 12 years ? That is the first that I have ever heard of that.

I have Bluetooth or as I call it woodchip in my truck radio so when I get a new phone. Pandora is going to be played a lot. I still will listen to the radio as I like the local two stations

It was a Sanyo 4700 that was excellent for most of its time. When I purchased the new phone (which was on sale that day for a whopping $1), the tech took the Sanyo in order to transfer info from it to the new phone. I tried to tell him the phone was too old for the later technology, but apparently he didn't believe me. The old phone looked almost as nice as it did when brand new.

The Sanyo 4700 is just a little smaller than cordless house phones, but about the same thickness as current cordless phones.

The phone fit nicely in my hand, was durable, and was easy to use. I liked it.

Some of the phone plans offer unlimited text and minutes.

It used to be they got only 250 minutes a month. But it's been quite a few years ago.

Sheesh it should not be called an Obama fone it is a tax payers fone

Some of the taxes we pay through our phone bills pay for SafeLink and other phone plans for low income individuals.

I can see the potential need for a phone to call 9-1-1 in case of emergencies. That's how many of the programs started. Recycled phones were given.

The programs have really changed.

The programs are abused from both ends .. Politicians making folks captive and way too many of the receivers talking advantage of the truly needy .... My daughter has one of those fancy phones that is sorta a mini computer... and her Obama phone.. abuses
