What Did You Get For Christmas?

I got a great 2 day getaway with my wife to the Ark Encounter! It was fantastic!

My son got me an extension cord lol! He's such a joker!

The Ark Encounter in Kentucky is a must see. We went a couple years ago. I loved all the replicas of the animals and the old manuscripts and Bibles. Hopefully this summer we can go see the Creation Museum which is not far from the ark.

HeIsRisen2018 it is not that far from you. It's about a four or five hour drive depending what part of Ohio you are from. You can look it up on line.

I already did look it up actually and I didn't know that. Cool! :cool

Hubby and I did not exchange gifts this year nor did we decorate as we wanted it to be all about the birth of Jesus and giving to those less fortunate than ourselves. Our family Christmas gathering will be this coming Sunday and will have a gift exchange there. We rent out the community hall as there is usually around thirty of us and that doesn't include the ones who live out of state.

Hmm,.. Idk, to each their own but I do believe that giving to one another and showing love to one another is celebrating the birth of Jesus because that's what Jesus is all about. :)

In giving to others is showing love to another and that is exactly what we did together as one in giving as we are both one in the Lord. My husband and I do not have to buy gifts for each other to show our love as not only saying I love you everyday for the last 21 years we show our love in how we treat each other.

I have nothing against decorating and giving each other gifts for Christmas, even though there is nothing I need or want, but that this year we wanted the money we would have spent on each other to go to those in need.
