HahaWe're big people, Jes. I also built my kitchen cabinets, and they are all 39" off the floor. Our microwave is 59" to the bottom, off the floor.
Well how tall are you?

That's not siding.Nice job Willie T!!
Did you add on to your house? Wondering because of the last pic you posted and the siding there.
BTW, did you have to clean out your sink, too, before taking the pic? haha
LOL! People rejectt it but it really is flying by the seat of your pants instead of perfected technique. My Pilots like to have never convinced me to stop micro managing the machine and just let my body tell the aircraft what to do. It is a lot of fun once a person relaxes. It's all in the "hunch" you develop in your seating. (You civilians can Google that... "helicopter hunch")
Oh! Well, I feel stupid now. haha I have never seen a wall done in Cedar shakes - very cool! Low maintenance. That's not siding. That wall is done in shingles. (Cedar Shakes) The other side of it is a bookcase, backed with mirrors. And the whole West wall is exterior paneling... from the front door, all the way back through the Living room and Kitchen, to the door leading to the Dining room. We were going for a rustic look.
No, to the sink. The wife is fanatical about keeping that huge farm sink, spotless.
After so many years on the sims I like to fantasize that if ever given the chance I might be able to fly a real airplane. Maybe not perfectly, but at least well enough not to die. But helicopters... All I can say is it's a very good thing I was never put in the seat of a real one!LOL! People rejectt it but it really is flying by the seat of your pants instead of perfected technique. If you have a cockpit control set, where your feet are on the pedals, and can still your nerves, you should be trained. Much of learning to fly is best learned in a simulator, the crashes cost, considerably, less and the possible damage to one's body is just that, possible if.After so many years on the sims I like to fantasize that if ever given the chance I might be able to fly a real airplane. I've got the controls, but just a desktop computer with MS Flight Sim X. I think I better stick to that instead of the real life stuff! (as far as the helicopters are concerned anyway.) I can fly it some and usually take off, fly somewhere, and land again without crashing, but I've never been able to do it at all smoothly or to develop that "seat of the pants" feel for it like I could in the airplanes. The way I fly it, if it were real life with an instructor, I don't think I'd be given a second chance! If you have a cockpit control set, where your feet are on the pedals, and can still your nerves, you should be trained. I can't imagine a good sim for a chopper that would cost less than a hundred thousand so it is cheaper, though dangerous, to train in the real thing at better that a hundred an hour. One of my boy's has his private jet ticket and found a trainer in Houston that will qualify him at $125 an hour with an absolute minimum of ten hours. He works in the oil field and is looking for the company to foot the bill, so, maybe some day. Right now he is the top man on the platform.
Nice scripture.![]()
my work desktop
OH DEAR LORD!! Your desktop is giving me nightmares. ...I need to go clean something!
If you can handle the drive, they have lessons at Paine Field, you can get a one hour beginner lesson for $100.After so many years on the sims I like to fantasize that if ever given the chance I might be able to fly a real airplane.
