What Does Your Computer Desktop Look Like?

Well, I only plug it into the front of the computer for a half hour once a week.

I leave an external hard drive hooked up all the time so that files can automatically back up. But the cable is connected in the back, so it's out of sight as part of that rat's nest of cables behind all the equipment.

I have 125 icons on my desktop (I cleared out a bunch to get it down that low). No room for a picture.

Nice desk. I like it. Wish I had room for a setup like that.

Is that flight sim hardware I see peeking out fro under the printer???
Sho is! These days, it's about the only flying I get in.
The desk really takes up very little room. I built in myself, just to fit in our tiny, 11' x 11' office.

The printer drawer is so big because I used to have a Panasonic dot matrix job, and it was W-I-D-E.

Cool. What do you like to fly? I've been flying the airliners with a virtual airline a lot lately, but also like GA and the jet fighter sims too!

I wish I had an 11' X 11' office for something like that! Living on a boat space is at a premium and everything has to do double or triple duty at least.

My FS is very old, so the best thing I like about it is the Bell 206 Jet Ranger.
I keep my IRF sharp with the airliners.

it shouldn't surprise you with the old Americana and topos as hyperlink. im always looking for things that I used to see in my town and naval stuff. old theatres as well as that old drive in pic is one I do remember. that is how I got the siggy I have.

Here is mine. The B modle Huey with the eagle on the nose was a square pic of the gunships as we proved the concept in the 11th Air Assault at Ft. Benning. This pic was of one in Vietnam, just after the 11th was shipped over to become the 1st. Cav. I opened the square photo in GImp, resized the canvas and painted with the Spraygun brush for more and empty sky. The nose art is the art they shipped with, the attacking eagle.

The two Vietnamese Airforce A10s are cut from a pic found online. Using the point to point selection tool they were extracted from the pic they were in and rotated to make them to be climbing out after a rocket pass on the LZ.

The H model huey to the left of the B model is a Columbian drug enforcement ship but I could not find a Vietnam era pic, so without the machine gun and with the doors closed I cut it from it's pic and shrunk and put it in place. Finally, the AH1 huey was cut from a terrible photo and I bent the curve to lighten and to clear it the best it would get to, I then found a seeler on ebay selling Tiger Shark decals, copied the pic of them, cut the teeth and eyes out, resized them, pasted, rotated and erase the excess, all done with the use of layers.

As the caption says, it is titled "A Day In The Office. This is the Desk top on my newest laptop. On my desk top unit I have a sleeping cat and a bible verse.

Oh, much respect on the Jet Ranger. I never could really get the hang of it. Seems what an acquaintance who instructs in Jet Rangers in real life said is true: "Teaching someone to fly a helicopter is like trying to teach someone to ride a unicycle on top of a beach ball"!
