What happens to "Murderers" according to the Bible?!?!?

I know Murderers can still go to heaven but will they still recieve their punishment it Heaven or do you just get your punishment here and thats it?

Cause i remember a verse in the Bible that show you can still can be punished in heaven for works on Earth, it said "Whoever sins against the holy spirit will not be forgivin in this life or the next"......i know its wayyyy different but just tryin to prove that you can get punished in heaven for something done while here :study

1 John 3:15<O:p</O:p
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:pIn God’s eyes, hate is the same with murder . <O:p</O:p
I think the punishment here on earth is very different from the judgment that is yet to come. <O:p</O:p
That,we will soon find out when we depart.<O:p</O:p

Well, in King David's case -

2 Sam 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

If you're a Christian, and have really repented of the SIN, then It's GONE, and there's nothing to be "Punished for" by the Lord any more - since JEsus was "Punished" for it. There MAY WELL BE "Punishment" from the local authorities (since murder IS a crime - maybe a CAPITAL crime, after all). And there may be "Social repurcussions" like Paul had to face all the time because of his earlier terrorism.

AH - Mat 12:
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

That would be one of the Roman Catholic "Proof texts" for their "Purgatorial Sanctification" tradition. The reasoning is that Since there Are SINS that WILL NOT be forgiven in the "World to come", then by creative extrapolation, there are apparently "SINS THAT WILL be forgiven in the "World to come".

But that would only be an "Argument from Silence" in support of a non-existent, and un-needed "Place of purification" adapted from the pagan religions if the time. "Purgatory" has no requirement to exist, since the Christian is PURE with Jesus' own purity (the only purity and righteousness ANY OF US will ever have) by Faith in the Savior's sacrificial work on the cross.

We are all born spiritually dead, since the fall of Adam and Eve. Spiritually dead means that we are hostile towards god because of our carnal nature desires to live a self-centered life based on mental and physical needs apart from the dependance of God.

By receiving and trusting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we have been given a new spirit, reconciled through the blood of Christ, and thereby becoming adopted sons of God.

We will still be judged according to our deeds. For the saved according to the crowns, which are related to the tests of our faith and dependance on him while choosing whether to believe the lies of evil spirits or God's truth, the Word. And for the unsaved, they will be judged in accordance to their lack of a new spirit in Christ, and the choices based on the law of right and wrong that were placed in their minds from the day of conception.

The heart is the center of self. Only in the heart do the mind, emotions, and will converge. We can intellectually acknowledge the truth, but if it doesn't touch our hearts, it will not change our character.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come (2Cor 5:17).

And if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him (Romans 8:7).

While we can expect and must rely on God's gracious forgiveness there is still judgement for 'works' apart from salvation. We know the thief is with Christ but does that mean he will have the same reward given Moses or Paul?
To say one receives 'punishment' in heaven I reckon seriously overstates. Just as saying that in heaven all must be equal opposes what Jesus taught wrt 'laying up treasure in heaven'.

i wonder, since you are amil, what do you think of that idea of rewards when we are raised and returned to the earth?

will we keep them? and what i wonder are they going to be? i know tis speculative as all things of the eternity are mere glimpses. but do answer

Im not amillennial ,that it matters.

The One who holds the universe together by his might is more than faithful to keep that which he so graciously accepts from us against that time. We are encouraged even commanded to do works that please God knowing he keeps account and our faithful works will stand.

I believe we are designed for work and achievement ,so I reckon these will be part of our eternity, though vastly different from what we can know today ,or even consider. But its fun to try. :)

Moses was a murderer.

I find it amazing that the first murderer, Cain, was given so much grace - in fact he had a mark of protection on him for the rest of his life. No protection was afforded to Abel, who'se sacrifice was acceptable to God. I do not understand that. Not sure Cain had a 'happy' life on earth, but he sure had time to reflect on his deed - and find redemption. I think all murderers can find redemption, but there needs to be repentance before forgiveness.
