Pretty depressing comment from someone who calls himself a Christisn. When someone dies, they are buried in a grave, or cremated.

Why depressing ?Pretty depressing comment from someone who calls himself a Christisn.
The NT states that we have a destination. Why depressing ?
It is what Scripture reveals.
Sure, but that was not the question. The NT states that we have a destination.
Don't you believe that?
Of course it was.Sure, but that was not the question.
Humanity was doomed from the first generation.
Extinction was/is a certainty that cannot be changed.
Only "new creations" will continue as the Creator Has Chosen.
Most people believe we are NOT put in a box.Of course it was.
Everyone knows we're put in a box.
No need to ask.
One is either placed in a coffin or in a urn if they are cremated. Why would, as you say, most people believe we are not put in a box and who are these people. Most people believe we are NOT put in a box.
Most people believe the body is a shell housing the real person. Something like clothing which is taken off .One is either placed in a coffin or in an urn if they are cremated. Why would, as you say, most people believe we are not put in a box and who are these people.
It definitely is not the flesh that inherits the kingdom of God and will not be raised up when Christ returns. It's our soul that defines who we are in the eyes of God.Most people believe the body is a shell housing the real person. Something like clothing which is taken off .
These people make up the great majority of Christianity and other religions who hold the same idea.
It seems the difference between the flesh and blood body and the resurrected body is blood. It definitely is not the flesh that inherits the kingdom of God and will not be raised up when Christ returns. It's our soul that defines who we are in the eyes of God.
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
We can only speculated what we will look like when Christ returns other than to know we will be changed like that of Christ glorified body.It seems the difference between the flesh and blood body and the resurrected body is blood.
As long as the flesh contains blood it cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
The flesh with the blood is mortal. The flesh that is raised is immortal.
Some years back Dean Braxton came to my workplace with the consent of my agnostic boss to tell my boss about Dean's experience of going to heaven and coming back. First there was darkness, then he met Christ and found a peace that Dean didn't want to leave. It took Christ 3 times (God is patient with us) to tell Dean he had to go back before he actually did. Dean told us that in heaven you can do what you enjoyed most on this earth, forever. But that is third-person witness. So here's this:When someone dies, they are buried in a grave, or cremated.
